That was from their farewell tour. That's why it was super emotional. They have some kick-ass fast songs as well. Kurenai is a good one. Silent Jealousy is awesome. This was the first live I have seen from X Japan, too. I was like, why are they so sad, why is this so emotional? This was their very last concert, after the singer Toshi announced his departure from the band. He was pulled into a brainwashing cult that hammered into him that rock music was evil and they literally beat him up and humiliated him. Their emotions here at this concert were all genuine sadness. 5 months later, the pink haired guitarist, Hide, in the neon suit died tragically. 10 years later the band reunited, with a new guitarist, Sugizo. The vocalist fortunately got out of the cult and realized he was tricked into it all. They still exist and tour, they recorded a song for SAW IV, called I.V. and Yoshiki (the pianist and drummer) is now composing music for the new Vin Diesel xXx movie. They are an awesome band, and their fasts, heavy songs are incredidbly good, too. Kuenai, Weekend, Rose of Pain, Scars, Dahlia, Rusty Nail... They have a dual identity, because heavy metal is just one part of it. Yoshiki's ballads are incredibly beautiful and heart-wrenching.

You can bet. The guy with pink hair and yellow suit was Hideto Matsumoto, aka "Hide", "Pink Spider" but knows as "Hide". Guitarist, composer, singer, producer.. a true music genius with his own solo career besides X-Japan. Also a nice person. Blood and marrow donor he visited regularly children hospital and a lot more. Sadly he died in 1998 with only 33 years (suicide, accident... nobody is really sure). The piano and drums was performed of course by Yoshiki: compositor, founder and leader of X-Japan. Of course he is good playing the piano, he starts to learn at the age of four. He is a great composer, even music for orchestra. X-Japan is more "speed metal", "power metal" even "symphonic metal". This song is a ballad, others are more "metal" of course Yoshiki have even his own comic "Blood Red Dragon" created by Stan Lee and Todd Mc Farlane (no joke, chek yourself) and even a documental about X-Japan kzbin.info/www/bejne/j37aYoKYhtqbhM0

Loudness: Rock'n'Roll Crazy Nights EZO: House of a Thousand Pleasures I Mother Earth: "Rain Will Fall" Heart: "Black on Black II" Thank me later. ☺ (You might have difficulty locating the original version of that EZO song. Loudness did a damn decent cover, if the original still has not resurfaced.) The first 2 bands listed are Japanese 80s hair metal. The 3rd band is Canadian 90's alt metal. The 4th band is, well, Heart. All 4 songs? Will kick your ass.

This was the Last Live Concert, hence the emotional look on the band’s faces. Especially this emotional song and the reason why the crowd keeps on singing, they don’t want it to stop. The guy playing the piano is their drummer and the drums played here are simply backtracks. He’s a very talented pianist and songwriter. A few months after this, Hide (the neon guitarist) died or killed himself, it’s not fully known which one it is. Makes it extra emotional, i always get the chills when hearing this song

I was lucky enough to score tickets for the first night of the 3 Blood Red Nights concerts last year. Absolutely fantastic show, my first time seeing them live after being a fan for 20 years. Yoshiki was absolutely drained at the end, collapsed on the floor.
