Thank you Alex & Chris for a wonderful, very professional & informative interveiw. I’m sure this will be so helpful for so many people. I absolutely love Malta & would move there in a heartbeat. As a non EU citizen & also being a little older than you both, I am currently trying to investigate the possibility of living in Malta as a self funded retiree. I’m not sure what the actual requirements are, & Alex that may be another topic for you to investigate, & even interview someone who is living there in a similar situation to myself. I know personally a couple of other people here in the UK currently investigating the possibility of retiring from the UK to Malta. However here in the UK there are many people including myself praying that one day we may rejoin the EU..🙏 We live in hope & I try everyday to manifest my reality. malta is great option for remote workers or digital nomad regarding quality of living for the price. Im a non eu citizen married to a eu citizen, we have our base in country of georgia, adding my eu residence in malta or hungary is top 2 choices

As an EU National, he is not on the Digital Nomad Visa which is very different to coming as a non EU on this visa type

Im Eu Citizen, hold Eu Passport from another Eu member state. I was offered a job in Malta in a town called Bugibba in a call center as customer care in my native language net pay 1200€uro. I did few maths prior departure I notice that unless you do not have a first job plus a second job plus your partner job, so basically 3 full Income, you are screw and risk end up homeless or food bank or share home with other seven random stranger . So is worth ? Pay bills and be a cheaper slave ? Not at all I stay in my Eu home country. Malta is doomed run by Landlord Cartel, Digital nomad cartel, Reckless Politician is a good country if you are an Oligarchs or a Fake Refugee with free healthcare or an Indian with Visa from third world. Best place for swim or uk pensioners. Good luck folks
