If we evaluate pain and gain on the entire process, the pain will outweigh the gain manyfold.. We may have many ways to cut the election cost through better management of existing resources. Another Couple of issues of this approach is 1) We need to make more electronic voting machines for this , the average life span of a voting machine is 15 yrs which will be a recursive cost . 2) As the election will be for a span of 2 to 3 months , for all this months no major projects can be approved or processed due to official unavailability and "election code of conduct"
