I bought a QV 6 months ago after 10 years of m3's. The QV is amazing. It took me a while to get used to the car, but now I think it's my favourite car iv ever owned. Absolute blast to drive

I own the Giulia Ti sport and while it's no Quadrifoglio, it's an absolute gem of a sporty sedan out of the 2.0 L turbos. Incredibly well balanced.

A good insight. I am intrigued by the QF, as far as you can be with modern cars. With your background of enjoying older, smaller, tactile cars and disdain for Suv's and flappy paddle boxes, your reviews add instant credibility in the eyes of those of us who haven't driven the car. Very honest review, stunning scenery btw. What drone and camera please? I'm a QF owner I love mine so much, so rare on the roads, so so many compliments, It's amazing how it can switch from angry to sedate depending on the mood. The exhaust note sounds so much better in real life and people shouldn't seriously judge until you've heard it properly. Not really tried mine in Medium or Hard suspension as I'm loving the soft suspension and amazingly comfortable seats which are great for my back. For me the biggest failure AR have made was the brake by wire system which takes a lot to get used to which you never mentioned ;-)

You're absolutely right... brakes are very hard to judge initially but I kind of forgot about them as soon as I got into it.

Brilliant piece. My dream Alfa is the 105 series coupe you used to own. I was drooling over them at the Alfaholics open day late April. Though those cars were being tweeked to cope with modern living.

I know what you mean about that old car feeling by being more involved in the driving experience. However this car for me is the perfect daily that you just wouldn't worry about driving long and hard all day, everyday, and just look at it... I bet you'd always glance back at it after you've parked up! I'm not totally sold on the paddles either tbh no matter how much my fellow Alfisti try to convince me, as for me a manual is part of the connection, but is it enough to not buy one? By the way love the drone footage! Very cool!

Among motoring journalists usually... its the latest & greatest, thats theyre job to preview the newest Its so refreshing & reassuring to hear someone say "i dont usually get along with modern stuff" [well, neither do i] & "dont buy an suv" - thank goodness someones said it!!!. what is there to be enjoyed in driving an suv? Theyre top heavy they use more petrol & theyre downrite 'ugly'

#27 doing a "New Car" review- Hunh??? I thought we were still sorting the best of the best of decades past, but a truly legitimate question. As a full blown saloon- it's too big for a REAL Alfa, but let's be honest- it is shockingly good. At $80,000 USD before sneezinfg, it may actually be worth the price of admission. Other than the brakes, this thing is good. It may be possible to own just one car (all cars are a compromise- the Giulia QV is no exception). I think I'd hate it as a commuter car, but other than that- it is so fun its easy to forget that its a 4 door saloon. Love the ridiculous HP and torque, love the exhaust and even love the twitchy steering...

i was very impressed with the car and I only drove the 4 cylinder. I disliked the stop start a bit as it was quite noticeable and of course reliability is a bit of a concern should be interesting to see where they end up on the used market- I fully intend to grab one some years from now even 40k is a bit steep for me (USD)

I saw a guy in one of those at Halfords so I struck up a polite conversation and complimented him on the car💁🏼‍♂️he just looked at me with a distant stare 😐 I asked him if he was ok and he just burst into tears 😭 and drove off. I thought he’s heading for a breakdown 😂

Number27 just a bit of banter 😊and as always they are a beautiful car and quick but having owned a Gtv Alpha will have to re invent the wheel before they convince me into buying another. The did do a head to head on a few channels between the alpha and M3 and C63 amg and the M3 won all but the drag race quite convincingly. But on looks there’s nothing like it in it’s class . It’s really really got my attention and I will be watching what the reliability feedback is between 50-100 k which is probably where I could afford to buy one 😎

Modern cars rarely come close to the "old, good stuff". Maybe a 981 Boxster Sypder or obv lot's of Lotus models. But apart from that it's tough. Even the new GT3s are not as raw as the 996 or 997 ones.

its designed in fiats design centre built in a fiat factory engineered in a masarati converted garage in modena and the guy who is in charge of alfa can't even speak italian whats so alfa about this.

Modern cars are all like this.. what's so Audi about an RS4? designed and built but VW on common platforms. By comparison the Giulia is pretty bespoke

Audi have their own head office and design and engineering. Audi is not sold in vw dealerships at least not in australia, alfa recruited all knew engineers so my point is this car has no relevance of old alfa's

Jz They took an old Engineer from Alfa for making this car, its designed and engineer by italians. Audi were sold in 1992 to VW, so like porsche too, both works with VW technic. And Audi and VW are designed by Walter da Silva and Giugaro both Italians.
