I just took the bottom shock bolt out didn’t need spring clamps then. Much easier 👍👍

I was thinking this, I've done a spring job on an old car of mine, where I just took the absorber bolts out, and springs could just be pulled out under no tension.

Im guessing with lowering springs it is excactly the same proscedure. Unless you know otherwise. Thx for the explaination. Gonna be a lot easier now to install them than going in blind

Great video again. Mine were thankfully replaced by the dealer before I picked it up. Seems to be a common problem. Fronts were replaced as well..were rusty...

I replaced two of my rear springs last year and had an advisory on corrosion this week. Im baffled, and one for the rear anti roll bar, so i be looking to change the roll bar soon. Also had advisory on one of the front springs so will have to do front using your vids

Nice work Tony. No perishing on the rubber mounts, whilst you had them out it wasn't worth replacing them? And great star pattern torquing at the end on that wheel :)

Hi Nick. I did wonder what condition they’d be in, but they were surprisingly good. I think the anti roll bar bushes will be the first rubbers to get changed. Another video to come!!! 😉

Btw since I wanna get lowering springs installed... How long do u think does it take a shop to change all 4 springs? Just to know how much its approx.going to cost. Thx all the best

Hi Stahl. I’m sure a shop would be able to do this much faster than me on my drive, as I don’t use any power tools or a ramp. I guess depending on how they go about it, it could be anything from a couple of hours for all 4 corners up to half a day maybe? I like those spring compressors with the retaining pin, where did you get them?

Hi Jeremy, I got them from Amazon, from a supplier called HFS. If you search for “HFS (R McPherson strut spring compressor” then you should find them. I paid about £26 for them. Thanks for watching. All the best 👍

Hey @@vialettotony Thank you for responding. Yes the speakers in the doors. The Bass radiator grill is ratteling when playing music but i dont know how to remove the grill without removing the door. I put cable ties in the free space between the plastic but this isn’t a solution that looks good so if you can help me it would be great 👍🏾

Had my G MOT'd in Dec. No advisory on rear sus but I noticed during my routine inspection that the offside rear is sheared within the rubber bump stop so this is now added to the to-do list. Short Q is, where did you get your suspension compressors? / What brand are they? The additional safety would give me that additional confidence.

You don't need to change them unless they break , ignore the corrosion that's minor compared to what I've seen.

No cio un problema che sembrano scarichi gli ammortizzatori nuovi ,infatti deve prendere provvedimento perché come sale 2 persone dietro si abbassa troppo il posteriore, puo essere le molle gua schiacciate,o ci vuole qualche gommini,bo
