So easy ! I changed the plugs on my Accord the other week , with the oil , the first time I’ve worked on a car in 20 odd years ! Quite proud of myself , although it was dark when I finished !

Great video sir. Certainly due a plug change. Nice to see that actually these 4 cyl twin spark engines aren't too hard to do providing you perform everything methodically and take your time.

Excellent work, Mr Coleman! Very clear video as always.

Not many manufacturers could make an engine with double the usual number of spark plugs in each cylinder and it still be overshadowed by another engine in the range. Still a cracking sounding lump to say the least. I suppose I could argue my Fiat is a Twin Spark but only because it's got 2 cylinders. 😅 A great video as always James. Interesting to see the level of carbon deposit on an otherwise clean plug. I wasn't aware that this was am issue on the TS.

Great Video, you are getting close to the 1,000 subscribers. I bet those new plugs make a difference, sounds lovely & smooth. Worst plugs I’ve done is my wife’s mk2 Jazz, been at the back.

Do you know if there are any differences in reliability between the different Twin Spark engines?
@therubbishmechanicmrcoleman2 жыл бұрын
Not really. Just regular oil changes and coolant changes and they tend to be good 👍

I noticed when you sprayed the WD40 on at the end the exhaust was still hot. Should you change the plugs with the engine warm, or stone cold I wonder? Just did the clutch master on my 916 spider twin spark. A real pig of a job on a RHD car! Cheers Steve

I always do them with a cold engine

I probably need to do that on my 916 V6, don't think it's much easier than the TS though? Any hints?

Very comprehensive as ever Mr C. I knew many Alfas had twinspark engines but I didn't realise that the spark plugs were different sizes. I think when you hit 1000 subscribers you should celebrate with a video of you farting your old overalls to bits. That should give you just enough time to make a sizeable pot of lentil soup! Are you off to the NEC next month?
