I bought an Alfaa 2 months ago after seeing you use it so much. I have zero complaints with mine and can attest the Alfaa inverter is a great performer. Very happy. Good to see the company is improving those instead of trying to cut cost like many companies today. Thanks for another great video ❤

That’s awesome! Glad you’re happy with the inverter! Yes I was pleased to see the company hasn’t cut costs as well. Good old Alffaa, my favorite mini inverter!

It’s a solid performer and can operate under high loads for long durations. This was just playing around. Hard to top it for the $.

Definitely a very nice inverter! I was impressed with the old one the new didn't disappoint. Thanks for sharing the great reviews of the products.😊 I am going to be purchasing one tonight

Glad you enjoyed! Definitely a handy little inverter to keep around! Hopefully you’ll enjoy the inverter. Alffaa inverter + a mini lifepo4 or two is an affordable and durable backup power source! I need to reiterate this point more in an upcoming video.

@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD very good point. I was going to install it in my work truck. But you are 100% correct about a great backup. Maybe I should purchase a second one.

Excellent option for a work rig! I use it all over the place carry the inverter and a 50 or 100Ah battery to where I need power, better than toting around a 50# power station lol!

@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD You are great at explaining your review process. Im still learning as much as I can, Im planning on putting together an safe room with enough power for ac,c pap, Internet, Charge phones, laptops. Im still trying to figure out how much watts,amp and how many solar panels I will need.

I didn't know the Goldenmate could handle the much of a draw from it? I though its BMS would shut off after a 100amp draw? They say it can only be charged 50amps. I was thinking 2 of the Goldenmates in parallel would be needed to run this inverter? Thanks for the video!
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD6 ай бұрын
For a constant service load near the inverters rated capabilities you are correct 2 batteries would be needed! Quick blasts for a few minutes it can easily handle the loads. The BMS would trigger protection as the heat would build up under a sustained load near or above its rating. I did a teardown on the GOLDENMATE and it’s built like a tank! Charge rate recommended is set to achieve maximum life from battery!

@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD Thank you for your reply, That is good to know, I never knew what the limit was for the BMS before it trips off, I bought 2 of these batteries because of the videos like your and their build. There is a little power station I bought that just came in from EcoPlay 2400, it was only $789 and had good reviews except the people who didn't understand ratings on capacity and efficiency. I would love you to tear one apart and test it well, I would be afraid to do too much testing on mine since it is for emergencies for me. They may send you one to test and NO ONE has tested one yet on youtube.

Awesome you got some batteries, they are amazing! Glad I was able to help you pick out a great option! Thanks for the info! I’ll contact Eco Play and see if they’ll be willing to provide a sample. Before you decide to tear into yours. Manufacturers put special tamper tape inside to know they’ve been opened!!! It’s yours to do as you please of course just letting you know that tape is in them! This could cause issues if you ever need warranty. Take care and be safe!

Shouldn’t it be around 120 V?
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD5 ай бұрын
110V inverter they set it at 110 to so they can ship to countries that use 100V 60hz or 120V 60hz.

I'm going to order one soon and I need some help with what all I need as far as fusing and breaker size. I will be using it with two 100AH Li-Time mini 12 volt batteries. Could you recommend wire size and breakers size? This will be a 12 volt system
@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD2 ай бұрын
The inverter can and will pull more than 1500W on the DC side. I’ve managed to pull 140-150A out of a battery with this inverter. I wouldn’t recommend running this or any budget inverter over 80% of max rate continuously. Your wire size and breaker size depends on length of the wire run and standard breaker size is load X a multiplier for surge. This inverter will trip long before you need any surge rate multiplier. I would recommend oversized wire and undersized circuit protection for safety. I explain a little more here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6TLlZ2wfpmtY5Isi=bnjev8jnL8NzTnLN
