Who says the sequel is always worse than the original? Not this time. In our continuation of analyzing transformations of quadratic functions, we take it a step further, and use completing the square to get our equation into vertex form. It's a high level completing the square too, using factoring, with leading coefficient. These polynomials have nothing on us, so welcome and join our fun learning! YAY MATH!
Learning should always be fun and connective. Please visit www.yaymath.org for:

What happense in insted 16x you had 18x? In other words what shell we do when you try to write half of b, which will be 9 and undevideble on 2?

You can still divide 9 by 2. It's okay if it has fractions.

Hello, I appreciate your video, but I have a question on why you subtracted 32 at 4:34. Why couldn't you add 32?

Cause you have to cancel it and you cancel by subtracting in both sides

(X+1)^2+(Y+5)^2 =25 How do you get the pair and say if it is a function or not from this? Where can I find this lesson and also: vertical stretch, reflection, aces of symmetry, even odd functions, graph square root functions. I understand your way of explain , I have being following all your classes. I hope you respond!!!!!

I know where the 32 came from, but why add and subtract on the same side?
@dalilaguillen7
@dalilaguillen7 7 жыл бұрын
tjbjsb I think it's because the rule of what you do to one side you do to the other can't apply because we want y to be alone

Because if you add 32 and subtract 32, you really haven't changed the equation, although it helps get the equation into a form that allows you to complete the square..
