I love how Frazier is protective of Ali. No matter how many people say Frazier hated Ali until the day he died (I don't think he did...I just think Ali hurt his feelings and he saw how Ali's words had an impact on how people perceived him[Frazier]) you can clearly see how Frazier is sensitive to Ali's condition. Even though Ali was/is older than Frazier...Frazier takes on an almost brotherly role here.

Result, nobody cares about him. We will remember Ali, Foreman, Frazer for their achievements, great behavior and humbleness, inside and outside the ring. Things that a dump guy like Mayweather couldn't get, and kept extremely jealous from Ali till today. People that are not even famous or well known by the public can get millions as well. 4 great champions ,who still look awesome ,they were warriors ,in the greatest decades of Boxing the 70s & 80s , we well never see that calibre of heavyweight s again ,in one era ,im glad i grew up in their time ,and got to watch all 4 fight ,Ali was my boyhood hero ,i even learned to box because of him , Its an honor to see them all together here ,thanks for the memories champs, RIP Muhammad , Joe ,& Ken ,you live on in our memories ,

You see these guys up there. All great champions. Some of the best ever in the heavyweight division. They were like Superman with skill like few had. All of them are gone now except for Larry. I think once when Larry was asked how he would like to be remembered, his response was something like "for being one of the longest living people". I hope so.

Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Holmes are the greatest boxers as the '70s era Heavyweights, but Ali and Frazier are legends warriors. Ali and Frazier are my heroes and hurts me that Ali was so bad with parkinson's disease .....

I did not know that Larry Holmes is as brilliant as he displayed here. I love all these guys and it is regrettable that only Holmes is still alive. Frazier was amiable, Norton had an admirable aura, while Ali epitomized our humanity. Good by The Greatest, the one and only indomitable Muhammad Ali.
@Danimal300zx8 жыл бұрын
Larry was brilliant? haha. He dropped out of grade 7. You're mistaking his ability to talk clearly (something the other 3 guys couldn't do) with intelligence. He was witty and funny though. I'll give you that much ;-).
@Zaramoku8 жыл бұрын
Holmes' dropping out of school at the 7th grade was due to financial needs, not out of unintelligence. Dropping out of the 7th grade is not evidence of a lacking in intelligence. All of Abraham Lincoln's scattered formal education did not aggregate up to the 7th grade, yet he clearly outwitted intellectual giants like Seward, Chase, and Bates to emerge the newly formed Republican party's nominee for president in 1860. Formal education is great but it is not the only yardstick for determining intelligence. You described Larry Holmes as "witty and funny". Witty means intelligence when used in the same sentence as funny. By the way, why did you describe Holmes in the past tense?

but they were... in a sense. Were they scientists who made groundbreaking discoveries, or doctors who helped save lives? No, they were people who punched each other for sport all their life. Why millions look up to *them* instead of people more worthy of the praise is exactly the reason why world is such a shitty place today.

This is beyond special.......it's almost surrealistic. When you view something for the very first time, something you had no possible clue even existed..........4 ICONIC HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING CHAMPIONS, sharing the same stage simultaneously......it truly has a mesmerizing, magnetic effect on your consciousness, IF you happen to be the devoted fan of professional Boxing that I am. "Champions Forever"........how very true.

Great to see all these great, remarkably successfully heavyweight boxers together. Tragic that Ken Norton sustained serious injuries in an automobile accident as well suffering several strokes. He had a unique style of boxing. I always felt he could have been given more substantial film parts, since he was very photogenic and certainly had presence on the screen.

I believe Ali knew Donahue was a poor host. I'm glad he stuck it to him at 32:00 by stating, "You're not as dumb as you look!" Classic Ali, and trust that he meant every word he said.
