I cook hamburger in a pot instead of a pan---lessens the stove clean-up. Since I don't need to make patties for a hamburger bun, I press (with the spatula, a spoon, or a small ladle) the entire 1-lbs package to fill the bottom of a 2-quart pot, then once it's time to flip the giant burger, that's when I section it into quarter-lbs triangles with the spatula. No messy hands from forming unnecessary patties, and little to no splatter on the stove!

The meat looks great, but I would need some horseradish to go with it! Would that mess up the diet?
@AliceCeeCPA Жыл бұрын
No hard and fast rules, horseradish should be ok if you’re trying to limit your carb intake!
@robinbeers6689 Жыл бұрын
Try to find a horseradish that is just horseradish without all of the oils, gums, preservatives etc. that are sometimes added. When all else fails, go to an asian supermarket and buy some fresh horseradish and run it though the blender or food processor.

I find it extremely difficult to eat ground beef without taco seasoning and cheese or as burger patties with cheese

We started with taco seasoning on our ground beef as well and over time slowly tapered off into just salt. It definitely takes time to get used to!

Just salt! Pure carnivore 😊

So do I need to plan out all my meals? I chose the diet to be just able to cook meat and chose what I want based if I’m hungry
@thebigmann8112 күн бұрын
150 grams doesn't seem like enough food when only eating meat. That is a little over 1/4 lbs(0.331 lbs) Edit: 1.5-2 lbs for the entire day would be good.

Man I love sardines, but since I've gone almost full carnivore, I noticed the oil used on the sardines doesn't sit well with me, even if it is olive oil.
@AliceCeeCPA Жыл бұрын
The sardines we use are stored in water only with no oils, try looking for that version! It can be a little harder to find though
@thespear4083 Жыл бұрын
Amazon has sardines in water.
@rb10xii Жыл бұрын
@@AliceCeeCPA Yes, they're usually canned in oil or some tomato paste which usually contains sugar and soy. But will look closely for the ones stored in water. 👍

Can u explain more on the effects on this diet on eczema?
@AliceCeeCPA Жыл бұрын
Hi Pavan, thanks for watching! From my research, most low carb diets have a healing effect on eczema due to the decreased inflammation. Also, because carnivore is an elimination diet with only meat you are potentially removing a lot of food triggers. Another reason I’ve heard is that because a carnivore diet is low fibre and a low residue diet (i.e. most of all the meat gets absorbed during digestion) it allows the gut to relax and heal as it has been said a lot of autoimmune issues originate in the gut. For me, I’ve noticed a huge reduction in bloating and improved digestion on this diet and noticed my eczema flare ups reduced dramatically. Hope this helps!

The carnivore diet and also the keto diet are not low fat diets. It is only low carb but high fat high protein for carnivore and high fat moderate protein for the keto. Dr. Eric Westman has good videos on nutritional ketosis and Dr. Steve Finney as well.
