"Poser" was the insult of choice for the goth/emo/metal kids when i was in school. We would just laugh and ask if they even knew what that was! I miss this look. My "team" at work are all kind of outcasts, if you will and i don't really have to be in the public eye, so i am really tempted to go back to it. And then watch the look of horror on my kids' faces 🤣

Yeh I remember that, athough I'm from the UK so no hot topic, but I was one of the nu metal kids at the mall and the Goths would look down on us and I didn't get it cos I wasn't trying to be goth, we didnt listen to goth or anything....

YES!! When I was a teen (mid to late 90's) there was really no other place to buy manic panic so my friends & I had to go to the mall to hit hot topic for that but would scoff at all the mall Goths cuz they weren't as cool. Ha! How ridiculous. 😅😂

Looks great & brings me right back to my teen yrs (mid to late 90's) when skinny brows, black eye liner as lip liner & lots of black liner were the thing. I modeled most of my makeup after Robert Smith of the cure at that time lol. Also yes concealer was a thing but people only used it to cover pimples. Brow bone highlight was a thing but more often than not you'd see just straight silver shadow all over the entire lid right up to the brow! 😂😭😅 good times!

A way I've avoided the burn when doing my eyebrows is use a light face oil over the brow area and it really helps with the razor burn 😍🥰 btw you're gorgeous

I am about the same age as you and I have always enjoyed nostalgia. At least in Finland I think old styles have come and gone all the time since the 90s or 2000s. I really loved to try out 80s and 70s styles and listen to older music when I was a teen. And I think teens these days do the same. But at the same time there are people who think new is always better whatever their age is.

DUDE. Yes! I've been going down that road of Nostalgia big time. I was remembering a show that took place back in 2003 after finding an LP i purchased at that show. Makeup is killer & I remember sporting this or a black/green smokey eye. Time passes fast as fuck in your mid 30s. I wish I was still in my 20s too. Actually, yes, concealer did exist pre-2010. I went through my baby bat years in 1998 and there was concealer. I don't like that the products I used back then no longer exist nowadays, so now I'm just getting by on what I can find that's close to what I used way back when.

Gorgeous look as per! Love that brick red shade!! And you know I like the thin brows too just as a change! I’m getting so tired of people drawing in their brows super thick and straight. It’s just not flattering in my opinion and makes people’s faces look a bit angular and frowny. Having a thinner brow, at the arch at least, just gives the face a lovely elegant lift. So nostalgic, very Amy Lee!! Love it. Pretty sure they did have concealer back then but I didn’t really know it was a thing for under the eyes till yeeeears later. Nooo concealer was definitely a thing! My mom still uses her tried and true concealer stick to this day. Its a solid concealer that looks like white lipstick.
