Said this someplace else but this is an observation so poor I expect it originated with cinimasins. we've seen several times that getting flashed can leave you in a highly suggestable stuppor for varying length of time. so its likely that K flashed her the first time with the intention of leaving her there for the cleanup team to deal with. but since J asked her a question it brought her out of the stuppor so K had to flash her again. this was probably to prevent her using a phone in the like minute it took the clean up crew to arrive.

The CGI in 97 wasn't very good, you really needed practical effects to make the CGI work Then the CGI got good enough (really, it got cheap enough) that they started overusing it. Now, the CGI has gotten pretty good and studios have started bringing back more practical effects combined with better CGI, which is really the best way to do it. But we had to go through a really awkward decade where the CGI was noticeable and distracting

Amazing! That cat genuinely looked to be grieving or at least looking to display a sense of loss or helplessness. Not saying it actually was, but imagine how long they had to film that cat with likely many different stimuli?

What I got from this movie; it seems there's a kind of symbiotic relationship between the Arquillians and cats as there is between humans and dogs. The alien in this scene seemed to dote on the cat, Orion, at every turn. Even taking him to a public restaurant. Which, on a sidenote, is not permitted in real life. Jay even made a quip about it in a later scene. Not to mention Orion seemed to "meow in mourning" when the Arquillian died.

@@NeoFreezz I disagree. The cat's name is "Orion" and what better clue than to say belt (which can also be similar to belt). If I'm trying to tell someone that Orion's belt is on Orion's collar (belt) id say belt, not the collar. Aliens are intelligent, of course they know what a collar is. They would have had to go to the pet store to buy that.

I'd like to think aliens are highly intelligent and give the right clues and know how to play on words. Its implied they have been living on Earth in their suits. Meaning they have learned how to communicate which is key in society. Its weird when people are not, they seem almost robotic, like you're implying. Anyway yeah this is an awesome men in black. After this they tanked.
