David is such an icon and that flute scene in particular is amazing. I love that they were just like “we heard Michael Fassbender was everyone’s favorite part of the last movie, so this time we are giving you two Michael Fassbenders.” Prometheus and Covenant get a lot of hate among Alien fans but I enjoy them a lot despite their flaws. They’re so unserious. Didn’t care for Romulus personally, but I may have been too bitter about them not continuing this story to enjoy it lol.

As much as I love Ellen Ripley, the Xenomorphs and the Colonial Marines, the performances of Fassbender and all the other actors playing Artificial Persons to me are the best thing about the Alien franchise

This movie is a bad sequel, killing the previous movies protagonist off screen, abandoning the ideas they built up in Prometheus and being an Alien prequel that in no way connects to Alien. Whether it's good on its own is anyone's guess.
