Can we acklowledge that they are spot on with their marketing? First the teasers of roadmaps and what to expect, then CES with short clips and now just after CES is over and the amazements and wishful thinkig is about to slow down, they lift the embargo and we get more in depth content.

@@zachmullins9444 Careful. I would control my impulse and just wait till the majority of these products are out. There might be other OEM with better features coming out as well that were not on CES. I've always built my own but i couldn't pass it up. I saw a lot of hate on AW while researching. I must say other then the case looks which has grown on me its a beast and doesn't skip a beat. Good temps and blasts thru any game. Coming from a Neo G9 With 6900xt. Once u go oled u cant go back. Good job AW. This monitor is a beauty!!!!

Being able to send a 1080p or1440p high fps signal and view it cropped and centered at the BOTTOM of the monitor is a huge selling point for me which Ive seen offered before, 4K is great for movies and sharper text to mitigate the pixel layout problem but for semi competitive gaming its overkill, 1440p cropped to 27 inches with black borders left/right and top is something a gpu I can afford can run and anyone who needs glasses has to sit so close for the correct focus point they can't use bigger than 27 inch anyway. I find it strange reviewers don't cover this feature more as I am just going to go for a 27 inch without it.

Had the AW3432DWF and it was amazing, I unofrtunately broke it and I think going for a 4k 240z now is the great option. Esports titles are for sure going to be able to take advantage of the high refreshrate even at 4k and I used to play single player games on my 4k@60hz tv in my livingh room anyway. Great monitor only thing i might be missing is the ultrawide but it also has some benefits going back to 32" and 16:9 as not all games i played supported the UW format

@zafrizulfi 8 ай бұрын
@TMar1961 For Cyberpunk in 4K, you may need to lower your graphics quality settings and enable all DLSS features. Set DLSS 2 to balanced mode. You can play in 4K even with a 4060 Ti (VRAM should be sufficient). It all depends on the graphics quality you are willing to sacrifice. With high-quality graphics, a 4070 Ti will struggle with titles like Cyberpunk. For games like CS: GO or something similar, you will get above 200 fps. Ultimately, it depends on the games you play as well. In my opinion, a 4070 Ti should not be paired with 4K. Also, this is a great era to play games in 1440p with ultra settings.

I have a Dell 32" monitor. It was the best electronic purchase I ever made. Depending on what (smaller) size screen you currently have, it improves the experience by a ALOT. I went from a 24 to a 32, and I feel like a 4x better experience in gaming, working, media consumption. Back when I bought mine, these size monitors were quite expensive, but they have come down in price in just a few years. Get one if you can afford it and have the space for it. If you are on the fence about this size or one larger, I'd say go for the larger size. The only "problem" I have with my 32" monitor, is that I wish I chose the 42" Dell monitor instead.

Which 32 dell model please?.
@gtd9536
@gtd9536 10 ай бұрын
I have my monitor in storage right now b/c I am moving. So I don't have the model number. It's a 32" IPS panel that has 4 video inputs, no speakers, and a non-glossy screen. I checked Dell website and it does not list any such monitor anymore (I think they are updating site after CES 2024) I would recommend the monitor that I have. Simply b/c it's over 5 years old and there must be newer monitors with better image quality for cheaper price. From what I understand, Dell has a reputation for making solid monitors, if not spectacular monitors at a fair, but not discounted price. Mine might be an exception. I got it at a decent price, but it was defective. The multi inputs and selecting between the two was broken for me. I didn't know it until I tried to hook up two computers. But that was a year after I got the monitor and so I couldn't replace the monitor. So remember to check the multi input feature when you get your monitor. Multi-input is definitely a feature you should consider if you plan to hook up two computers (work and home) and even a console game. Also consider if the input selector has physical buttons or if it's touch capacitance buttons. Being able to switch between multiple inputs easily is a great feature. Some monitors even act as a kvm switch. I ended up getting a separate KVM switch. Problem with a separate KVM switch is the complete mess of cables. No matter how organize you make the cables, it still going to look like a jumbled mess. You should also give thought to glossy vs non-glossy or glossy with anti-glare. The larger monitor, the more chance there will be a glare spot. I got a non-glossy screen on my monitor, and I never sat down and wished it was glossy even while gaming or watching movies. In fact, I didn't even notice it was non-glossy when I pulled it out of the box (I didn't care at the time when I got the monitor, I was just so happy I got a large monitor). So even with the defects in my monitor, I'm still quite enjoy the experience. Also, I would still purchase an IPS panel over the OLED panels. I'm still worried about burn-in / image retention. IPS do not have this problem. I've had my monitor for over 5 years now, and I haven't seen a problem with it. Also consider ergonomics. The way you normally sit might be a problem. You could find yourself tilting your head too far up, so you might need to lower your desk to compensate. If you are taller (like me) this might not be a problem. But if you are shorter it can (potentially) be. I think as larger monitors become more prevalent, desks will change. You'll have your normal desk space, but the area where you put your monitor will be on a shelf that's depressed from the rest of the desk, just so that you don't crane upwards too much. The other alternative, would be to mount your monitor on a wall, off your desk in the appropriate position. Finally, this is the year you will see new machines implementing the new thunderbolt standard. We will finally have laptops that can drive multiple 4k monitors or even 8k monitors at high refresh rates. It's definitely something to keep in mind. Sorry to blabber so much. Good luck.

42 for regular pc usage gets old real fast. Used them for a few months and went back to 32, then settled on 34uw (both work and gaming). 42” is just too big, especially if flat, you can’t really use the edges of the display without strain on neck and eye movement, clarity suffers in the edges when doing productivity tasks. 34 handles this much better whereas 32 is the sweet spot imo tl;dr you’re not missing out not having 42” if not talking purely gaming

32 is nearly perfect. I can never go smaller. Kind of wish they would have made the new monitor just a little bigger maybe 35. I have the 32 Dell 1440 panel and I'm well used to the size. Getting the new monitor but the same size kind of sucks. You always want to go a little bigger. I agree on the 42 inch. Good review but no mention about text clarity on this monitor; something that put me off buying any of the 2023 OLED monitors? I definitely want one of these Alienware QD-OLED monitors. I currently have a 27" 1440p 165 Hz IPS monitor but was planning to upgrade to a 27" 1440p OLED display and was very interested in the new Dell models as they were flat not curved. The only thing putting me off the 32" 4K display is the fact that it is curved. @StevoHDA
@StevoHDA 10 ай бұрын
im the same, 21:9 provides all that bonus periphery and since its only 34 with diminished vertical height relative to bigger sizes, it has less eye strain and allows for just high enough ppi at 3440x1440 to be good even if theres fringing or the AA is off in games because or the subpixel arrangement. the dwf in particular has good color accuracy and allows adjustable timings for 10 bit at 165hz which alot of the new 16:9's are lacking. 3rd gen panels have well improved pixel efficiency and anti burn-in compensation algorithms however 2nd gen had no improved in brightness vs 1st on monitors and 3rd potentially won't either, full screen is only 300 nits as well which is a bit gimmicky, pissing contest vs mla doing the same thing.. So this is _the perfect_ combination of 4k, QD Oled, 240hz, real HDR, G Sync, and Dell's tremendous pixel perfect guarantee for 3 years. The days of trying those 32" 4K ips at 60hz are over. Finally..the perfect monitor with all the specs you can ask for. Awesome work Dell 👏 (Would having a 1080p 480hz be a great add on? Yes, but only if you're an esports gamer and a top end rig. For all others, this is perfect for all others that prefer 16:9 over an UW.)

No way in hell would I ever touch 1080p again. Even 1440p is feeling blurry now

@veilmontTV Same here. Just set up this Alienware 32", and it's beyond stunning. Wow... And I've yet to get a stable 240fps in any game maxed out. Even GTA IV hovers from 100-240 as it was buggy anyway. (I need to mod it). Granted I max out CP2077 with balanced DLSS to get 55-60fps, and even GTA V with heavy mods(NVE and others) bring a 120+ from to 60-70fps. Maybe RDR2 will stay at 100+ maxed? Lol Only esports gamers will need more then 240hz. 4K on a 32" oled is the perfect match. This monitor is definitely future proof if you max out all settings. I'm blown away as it's pq is better then my 65" Samsung 95b.

@@poedottaviano6924 what gpu are you using? I have a 4070 but I'm staying up all night on launch night of the 4080 super to help push this. I play all my games on low for maximum frames so it'll be forever until I max this monitor out. Been waiting for a 4k 240hz oled to come out for a couple years now. This was cheaper than I expected it to cost me
