The West shall not discriminate China because China choose one party system instead of using two party system. One party system let China develop much faster. Nowadays China is much more developed than India, Brazil , Indonesia or other developing countries. Its streets are also cleaner and safer than most developed countries. Its life expectancy is already 2 years longer than US life expectancy and 9 years longer than India life expectancy . Expressway length in China reach 177,000 kms vs US 76,000 kms and India 4,900 kms. High speed railway length in China reach 42,000 kms vs both 0 kms in US and India. On top of that, China is also number 1 in many fields such as electricity generation, motor vehicle production (30 million per year), steel and cement production, ship building capacity( China ship building capacity is 232 times greater than US ) while it is nowhere 50 or 70 years ago. Take life expectancy of both China and US as example. In 1950 China life expectancy is about 38 vs US 68. After 71 years, in 2021 China life expectancy is 78.2 vs US 76.1( latest figure by CDC , US life expectancy dropped by 3 in 2020-2021 period from 79.1 originally). China expectancy increase by 40 years while US increase by 8 years only. China life expectancy increase 5 time faster than US. Also Look at health care by comparing MMA rate( maternal mortality rate): in 1950 China maternal mortality is 1500 women death per 100,000 birth vs US 100 women death per 100,000 births. In 2021, China MMA is 16.1 vs US 23.8 per 100,000 (the lower the number , the better health care service level) . Infant mortality rate: in 1950 China infant mortality is 195 death per 1000 birth vs US 26.8 death per 1000 births. In 2021, China infant mortality rate drop to 5 per 1000 vs US 5.4 per 1000 birth. And people in China retire at 55 years old on average to access pension. About 12 years earlier than US's 67 years requirement while some countries may not have pension at all. It means an American need work extra 40*52*12=25,000 hrs in his life than an average person in China. It also means an American only has 9 years to enjoy retirement while an average person in China has 23 years to enjoy retirement. And it is not means or asset tested when access pension in China. It means you get your pension monthly even you stay overseas, are a multi-millionaire or have another job after retirement. Singapore is another example of one party system. Its gdp is highest among Asia.

❤Alina - the way you look smile and show these vlogs are so much like that of Maria in the Sound of Music Movie heroine (Julie Andrews). And I want to let you know that Maria should be one of the FIRST western female actresses (along with Princess Leia) that has ever been seen and deeply loved by generations of Chinese people when China opened in early 80s. Hope you will get a lot of love in your generations - from China. ❤

And it would a huge unmeasurable tragic if a new Cold War 2.0 or WW3 would materialize, for the entire planet and the humanity. If that really happened, I am afraid that China would not be on the dark side. So, on this grand scale, what you are doing in China is extremely important. Your report will help correct the biased perception created by MSMs which tend to have distorted and irresponsible agendas.

Hi Alina, Fantastic video you showed Guangzhou as the city it is beuatifull and full of life. We went there in 2017 and loved the city, like you we walked around Shaminda Island very beautiful it is great to see even more improvements since we were last there. If you do go back there suggest walk around old canton wonderfull markets etc not far from Shaminda Island in walking distance. The only other cities in China we have been is Beijing and Xining on way to Tibet for a couple of days to get acclimatised to high altitude. Enjoy you time in China and rest of your travels we found the Chinese people very friendly and helpfull Cheers Barry

@Alina McLeod, Thank you for the video and the livestream. In your live stream you showed an exhibition covered by glass sheets on the road surface in the middle of Beijing Road in Guangzhou, which you was wondering what it was. That glass exhibition on the road surface is an historic site. It shows 11 layers of the ancient road spanned over 1000 years (the city Guangzhou has existed since 200 BC). That 11 layers of the ancient road in a depth of over 3 meters was discovered when the road was going through a renovation In 2002. It was pretty amazing to see how the road got transformed and built upwards layer by layer over 3 meters over 1000 years. The Beijing road has been the city centre over 100s years (may be 1000 year) until approximately 10 years ago.

Welcome to my hometown! Did you not see the amazing ancient road surface when you were at Beijing Road? There are several glass windows on the road surface, through which you can see the roads of Han Dynasty (202-220 BC), Tang Dynasty (618-907), Song Dynasty (960-1279), and Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) just a few feet below where your stand, which proves that Beijing Road has been the central street of Guangzhou since its founding in 214 BC. In my opinion, this is the most worthwhile attraction to see on Beijing Road.

The place where you drink Congee is called Cai Lan (蔡灡), a Cantonese traditional Dimsum(點心, dessert) chain restaurant. Btw I have never eaten there before, the label on the table at 4:15 provides the information. I'm a university student studying in Guangzhou but born in Northern China 1800km away. Cantonese cuisine is good, but our country is so large, culture is so profound and rich, that actually has many different cuisines, such as Chuan cuisine, Min cuisine, Hui cuisine, Confucian cuisine, Huaiyang cuisine, ect. Welcome to other parts to enjoy more tasty food and get more culture shocks.
