I remember once watching the news and someone claimed she gets "less liberal" every time she sees the homeless pee outside. Apparently advocating for public toilets for all was not an option for her. If Democrats have a real majority in the House and Senate, expanding the court is possible. Impeachment must be initiated and done by the House and then 2/3rds of the Senate must vote to convict to remove the person from office. Term limits would require a Constitutional amendment. However, it’s possible to create a panel of Senior Justices who’ve served a certain number of years, say 15 or 18, who would then be available for consultation and could be randomly selected to fill in for a recused Justice or in the interim following a death or unexpected retirement until a replacement is confirmed.
