Am I the only person who actually likes Bone Dry Dunes? It's not my favorite track in the game, but it's probably in the top half for me. I love the music, the almost Arabian aesthetic is beautiful, and there are some fun driving moments, like the anti-gravity section with the tricking off the ramps. For me, Bone Dry Dunes is waaay better than Dry Dry Desert anyway.

30:30 Perhaps because of the following: - A magic classical train soaring next to the track giving coins - which could be subconsciously be seen as gifts. - Brown and gold color scheme, which are reminiscent of cold but cozy holiday times. - The cold, night sky contrasted by the city below unanimously & warmly illuminated by many individual light sources. - The golden bloom the track itself gives off.

A fellow Electrodrome enjoyer LET'S GOOOO No idea what the general consensus is on it but it'll always be underrated to me because I love it a lot and because of how infrequently it comes up online. I'd have to agree that Mute City is better than Big Blue. Mute City is a lot more exciting with the amount of boost panels and how tight the turns are.

One of the things I want the next Mario Kart to do is bring back some of the city courses as retros so they get to stand out on their own rather than being pitted against a million other tracks with the same aesthetic.

I didn’t even want any tour tracks in the first place. “Stop giving me boring city tracks and bring me airship fortress Nintendo!” I’d say the only two that I liked were Amsterdam Drift (because of Only Fools And Horses nostalgia) and New York Minute (Because it was really cool and had Home Alone 2 nostalgia)

I'm happy you placed Tick-Tock Clock on the Top 10, personally it's my #1 favorite. I just love how everything in the track including the background is moving and the small detail in the final lap is that all the gears stop turning and once the music starts up again, the gears start moving quicker including the clock hands and pendulums. The song is also my favorite, factory-related songs in video games is one that isn't heard much but personally I absolutely love them. The track also has 1 or two risky shortcuts that you don't need a mushroom for, sound effects throughout and too much detail. If I had to pick what's my favorite from the Booster Course pass, it's either Kalimari Desert or Rome Avanti. I'm a fan of western stuff (especially if there's trains involved) so that's part of the reason why I love Kalimari, it's made even more difficult when you're racing on the train tracks itself. Rome Avanti I feel like nobody picks as their favorite tour track but I'll be the first to do so. I've been so interested in Italian culture and this track is just absolutely gorgeous. I don't know why but racing on this track in particular didn't felt like a cheap, generic city track. This actually felt like I was driving through Rome at night with Mario elements here and there. Not to mention there's exclusive enemies like the Fuzzies and Rocky Wrenches and a jumpscare unique animation for the Chain Chomps, the music is very underrated..it literally made me feel very emotional (gets me more emotional then any Rainbow Road song) so yeah..the more I talk about, the more I'm willing to place it as my favorite Booster Course pass track.

I like your tier list a lot, pretty accurate, and overall what I might say if I ever made one. There were a few tracks I have a minor disagreement with, but nothing too major to me, so it is what it is. People are allowed to have their own opinions and I respect yours a lot and personally I love the 3DS Rainbow Road a lot too. I never played Mariokart 7 as a kid and still haven’t played it, but I bet that the original is just as good as the 8 Deluxe version. Personally, Mute City is my FAVORITE track in the entire game. The high speed of the track, the intensifying music, the amount of detail, I just love this track so much 😭 (big blue and SNES rainbow road are right behind it in my opinion, a big part probably has to do with the music tho loll) Edit: Just got to the end of the video, so glad to see Mount Wario rank so high, it’s another one of my all-time favorites. While I was very sad to see there wasn’t a lot of DS tracks in the booster course pass, what I’ve been thinking is that maybe they’re saving some fan-favorite tracks for the next game! (It would definitely explain the baffling exclusion of tracks like Airship Fortress 😭) Great video tho, it’s nice seeing someone with different rankings for once :D (most of the ones Ive seen have been EXTREMELY similar 🥲)

I love watching these sorts of videos, I've watched I think 5 96 MK8 rankings now and I love them all! I'm about half way through yours so far and you're the only person who gave Sunset Wilds not the bottom 3; I actually don't really care at all about the sunset, I care more about the wigwams being gone as hazards, but I quite like the remix and definitely wouldn't put it as low as most people, I agree with your ranking the most. Maybe I should do one of these, I also don't understand the hate for Bonedry Dunes; I generally don't like desert tracks either but I like the subset vibes and the unique enemies like the bone piranha plants. GCN Dry Dry Desert is probably my least favourite track, and I dislike the simple circuit tracks (although I like most Mario Circuits and Daisy Circuit!), the SNES tracks (except the ones with lots of effort like Bowsers Castle 3) and the underwater ones more than the desert tracks.

Highly disagree with Twisted Mansion and Cheese Land's placements. I'd also personally put Los Angeles Laps, Sky High Sundae, Rock Rock Mountain, and the Boo Lake and Sky Garden remakes a lot higher, but that's just me. Your top and bottom picks are mostly accurate though. Some extra things I want to say btw: - DK Mountain > DK Summit - The Cheese Land remake is NOT a desert course. - It's impossible to capture the city of LA in a perfect light. Lol

wdym desert courses are the best! bone-dry dunes is fire! I do agree with you on turnpike tho, the "fun" antigrav walls are slower too so it's not like they are ever used. Nice job btw, very professional and well organized, especially for the size of the channel. I can confidently say that this was not a waste of my time. I actually prefer the remake version of 3ds rainbow road's music over the original. As a huge fan of trance, and electronic music as a whole, I love the epic trance feel of the updated track. it sounds like a Tiesto or Solarstone track.

I’d honestly argue about Bone-Dry Dunes, it’s not good, but it does have a bit more to offer than GCN Dry Dry Desert. For GBA Cheese Land, I like the elevation that we got, but in terms of aesthetics, the original ‘Moon made of cheese‘ setting was better, I‘d still put it about some of the other courses, especially GBA Sunset Wilds, which we can all agree on it missing its sunset mechanic! I actually like both Twisted Mansion and DS Cheep Cheep Beach, those placements would have had anyone in the line of fire! The same with GBA Boo Lake, SNES Donut Plains 3, and even GCN Sherbet Land, quite cruel actually, though the latter is at the top of the D-Tier, so not nearly as bad. For Wii Grumble Volcano, I’d easily put it in the top half, it’s one of the only 3 lava themed courses in the game ironically! I’d have put N64 Choco Mountain a little lower in the C-Tier, and also place DS Mario Circuit and Tour Amsterdam Drift higher in the C-Tier. I‘m glad that Wii Coconut Mall isn’t in the top half, mainly because of some elements being removed, plus the cars not knocking you out as much as the original, I‘d even have placed it below Daisy Circuit, though both could have utilised the routes more. Glad that Bowser’s Castle is near the top half, even though there are a lot of other versions that are more memorable. For a lot of the city tracks, I‘ve enjoyed a majority of them, and Tour Madrid Drive is one of them, maybe not the best track, but a very strong one regardless. 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World pleasantly surprised me, and I do like that! Animal Crossing even offered 4 different variations of the track! Hyrule Circuit‘s pretty good as well. There’s not much else to say, although I’d place Wii Maple Treeway at the bottom of the A-Tier, but still a good track to race on. For my thoughts on SNES Bowser Castle 3, I actually think it should have been in the S-Tier, it is short, but it managed to impress me a lot, and even more ironically, the best lava track! Not surprised that Tour Singapore Speedway is this high, there could have been more opportunities if the lap count was changeable, but definitely brilliant for Wave 4, and Squeaky Clean Sprint for Wave 5, quite a shock it was good, it did not disappoint! For me, I still like DS Waluigi Pinball, but I’d switch it with Electrodrome, but again, definitely unique, even now! It’s weird that Yoshi’s Island is placed as fourth, but here we are, still brilliant! For the last 3, they deserve to be in these spots, but I’d switch the two Rainbow Roads, Wii and 3DS as an alternate, since I owned Mario Kart DS, Wii and 7 prior to 8, and honestly, it worked out better than expected! 3DS Rainbow Road could have had the option to have full laps, along with N64‘s incarnation, but it still is that strong, and the Wii incarnation may be my new favourite, for feeling like a remake that I could never criticise, but also feel like that the game, has finally, come to the end, of the era. Overall, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on the 96 tracks! I didn’t think that I’d be impressed as I was here, but I am, so I‘m glad of that! Mk7 rainbow road is one of my top 5 tracks of all time, and I would still rank it incredibly bly high in this game, but I feel some of its charm was lost in the mk8 version.

To be fair you’re not given a lot of time to change your character and kart between races, if everyone rapidly selects courses you’re given a limited time to choose a better character and kart combo, I’ve definitely been auto selected random before because it was already counting down when I was changing my character, so sorry it unfairly chose your auto random and missed playing DK Mountain with everyone else
