Wow never been called brilliant! Bipartite is a 2 part bone commonly misrepresented as a fracture!

Hi dr.Pelto, I had my sesamoid bone broken back in 2011 ,The one that lies between the big toe and the second toe. i started feeling pain in that area but i never knew till a year passed , the therapist requested an MRI scan and stated that i had fibrosis around the sesamoid bone then he told me to use that walking boot... but when nothing changed he told me to use a Silicone pad in my shoe. i had the pain gone but ever since the toe started to feel like a lack of support and i feel spasm of the muscle i the arch of the foot . I am really really confused specially that I have visited another doctor and he stated that my sesamoid bone not fractured

Doc My left foot big toe specifically has been in severe pain for 16 years. It hurts sooooo bad to touch. It’s cause deteriorating in one of my toes and it’s also cause another toe to curl by itself. Am I too far gone if this is the cause? They’ve done a nerve test Xray. No meds work Nothing takes the swelling or pain away Physical therapy didn’t work either. I was in a Walking boot almost 1year. 😔

If sesamoiditis prolong for a long period of time 1,5 years for example. Will it be able to heal on itself?
