4:17 Renamon's transformations have alot to do with the Eastern belief of Yin & Yang. The long sleeve form is related to onmyojis. A type of eastern priest that has aspects equally related to religious practices, sorcery, astology, divinations, ect. You see them fairly often in more mystical anime

Tri was... divisive. It leaves a lot of questions unanswered on a first time viewing, but if you're a fan of darker takes on stories it's not bad. It's one of those series where it doesn't hand you answers, and there's no clear "good guy vs bad guy". Things get complicated fast, and on top of there being no easy solutions it's very much a situation where there's something like four or five moving parts all with their own agendas and goals. Very confusing on a first watch and that turned a lot of fans away from it, but if you're a fan of shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion or Darker than Black it's a solid watch.

@@WadeWadeReacts It sort of does if you watched the Japanese version of the original show. They didn't pull their punches with narrative beats and it went to some dark places that the Americanized release only really touched on in brief spots. Tri just turned those elements up to 11 since they're not kids anymore. Digimon - at least as it's been released in Japan - does not shy away from dark story lines and anyone who has watched Tamers can tell you that it's absolutely zero surprise that many of its plot points were directly inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion. Ghost Game in particular plays up a lot of the horror tropes in ways that very much explain why it didn't get a western release for Saturday mornings like the other seasons mostly did.

Warning. Spoilers: In Digimon Savers's second opening the main characters have to fight the royale knights, which contains some of the strongest Digimon. Thier mission is to protect the core computer of the digital world and defend it from any dangers. Unfortunately in Digimon Savers they are the antagonist in the latter part of the show. One of their members you have seen before in the Digimon Tamers. Their name is Gallantmon, aka Dukemon in Japan, is one of their more prominent members, but this Gallantmon is not related to the Digimon Tamers one. EDITS: in the last opening Digimon tri. another member of the Royale Knights was shown, Omnimon, aka Omegamon in Japan. This is where he is shown kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpDRfKanpJ2fsJY. This Omnimon is also not related to the one in Digimon Savers

Every season after Frontier (season 4), for the most part, got darker and tackled heavier, more adult themes, so they are worth checking out. Xros War (seasons 1 & 2), Savers, and even Appmon are good to great seasons. The nostalgia seasons (Tri, The movies, and Adventures 2020) are more hit and miss and depend on what you're looking for in a series.

Have u guys done the pokemon japanese openings they are better then the english openings for the most part the english for the first 3 series are great then u get good ones in series 4-5 and its meh after cuz of changes in owners the japanese openings are hit or miss but i enjoy most of them throughout

A lot of people dropped the franchise after Frontier, I find. Those of us who started with Digimon Adventure tended to drop out at that point.

@@WadeWadeReacts Frontier was a major departure from the seasons that preceded it, and Savers only continued departing from the original formula. When folks stop resonating with a series, they just let it go and move on to other things. You see the same thing in video games. Final Fantasy has completely departed from its original JRPG roots and completely embraced action gameplay. This has drawn in new players while alienating a number of the old fans.
