You hooked me in, my second video after the 7 chord thing that was brilliant!! This U2 song was my proposal song (1988 cassette player on a snowy ski resort hill in Pennsylvania) and my wedding song in 1990. Thank you Lauren.

Wonderful lesson. I was using previously using the down down up up down up 4 note strumming pattern throughout it and not using the stuck like glue chords so now I'm looking forward to doing it your way.

Lauren thank you so much,glue chords or not. But The Edge and ofcourse The Whole Band is my absolute favour rockband. Edge is really one of The best guitarists ever. The spirit,backbone of U2's music. I'm a fan of U2 since The relaese of "Under A Blood Red Sky" in this film wich was made in Red River Rock. You Can see that U2 is going to be BIG. So thanks AGAIN . 😉🥳👍👄👄👄

Hey Lauren super teacher. Can you do a matchbox 20 song? Like back to good or if you’re gone or back2good? Not sure which is easier for a late beginner. Thanks!!

Thank you, Ryan for the recommendation. I get lots of song requests so I cannot guarantee that I will get to it, but I will definitely add it to my list.

Hi Lauren, Just want to echo the thanks here. I just signed up for your 7 level guitar course and am excited to get back to playing guitar. Any chance you could show us how to play the long outro where the Edge just goes crazy? I know he's got some distortion and delay effects, but it would be great to see how that would look and sound on an acoustic. Thanks!
@LaurenBateman2 жыл бұрын
Oh that's cool. The Edge used so cool effects on his guitar to get that unique sound.

Love this lesson thanks, tho I still can't figure out how to put it all together in a smooth sequence/whole song. I know you say put it all together as a jigsaw but if I cant see this done as a whole, I end up lost! I still cant seem to get past starting at the start & working thru it from start to finish, so I'm not sure how I'm ever gonna get to play a whole song! I think my old 59 brain just can't remember enough info all at once....arrrgggghhhh! But I'm still here trying to figure out how to play one song
@LaurenBateman4 жыл бұрын
Merrilyn, have you tried playing Horse With No Name yet?

@@LaurenBateman thanks, have tried but same- can't really do anything more than play the chords - don't know when to start & finish or how long to keep playing etc. I'm pretty hopeless
