for 2014 vw jetta, can you program key fob and remote on bench? push/start fob or you have to program it on the vehicle? thankw
@timtracy9442 Жыл бұрын
you have to program the prox function in the car.. I program a chip to the cluster, then put the cluster in the car, hold the chip near the antenna, then go thru programming the chip on a prox key, then go to the lower right corner and click on the button labeled Program all keyless keys... after you do that, you will have prox and key functions, then go into the the central control module and program the remote so that the remote buttons work...

Yes, you can read all the data from the cluster, why do you ask??

When I’ve done these in the past I’ve had to do the extra step of learning the key to the vehicle. Is that not needed doing it this with way with abrites?

sometimes, depending on which software the cluster has, especially the 2016 onwards, you pre program the key, but it doesn't want to accept it right into the cluster, you have to turn power off and then on with the key.. like you would learning the key in the car... With the NEC cluster cable, it has a key coil built in so you can program key on the bench, no risk of loosing ACS coding when you put the cluster back into the car and then try and learn keys...

Does this work with the same with push-to-start AKL? Can the push-to-start keys be added only using on the bench method? Meaning, can this be done utilizing a mail-in service? Thanks
@timtracy94422 жыл бұрын
Not fully.. There are 3 parts to a push to start system.. The chip that gets programmed into the cluster, the high freq for the prox, and the 315 mhz for the regular remote.. We usually program a chip into the cluster, then put everything back together and program the prox and the remote at the car... You can't do the prox and the remote without other components of the car being there...

I haven't seen a video of adapting a 2003+ W220 Cluster (used) to a vehicle with MN017 license. Could you share any experiences you have had doing this (zero km and teach in to DAS)? I can't seem to write to the cluster after reading it. Thanks!

This makes me wonder... we sent 20 of these over to Abrites in Bulgaria... Send an email to sales@abritesusa.com I am pretty sure they can help you.. Are you on any of the whatsapp chat groups about AVDI?? or VVDI? I am on a couple of those that have alot of members in the UK...

Good morning Tim, so quick question(s) 1- You have the NEC cluster with the Abrities NEC Dash cable, but I remember reading in older video posts (see VW Micronas 08 - All keys lost - in the comments) you have on your channel about using a 1K Ohm resistor and just simply grounding out the POGO pin (or on the Micronas Dash the bootloader pin) -so the first queston is, Is this special cable necessary (either for NEC or Micronas) or can I simply hook up the power and CAN BUS lines to my laptop programmer and use a ground cable to ground the POGO and still use the same instructions as in this video? Question 2 : This process seems to work well for the NEC clusters because you can enter "Service mode" using Abrities (I have the full Abrities program via the SVCI interface, a verion of FVTI apparently... LOL anyway) - But for Micronas dash panels, It would seem there isn't a way to "Enter service mode" from Abrities (Unless there is a specific VW software version that acually supports it. The version that I have for VW service gives me the option for V18, V24, and V38.8 or something like that, typing from memory) - so you do know if there is a similar procedure using the ground pin method for Micronas Dash panels with Abrities to get into service mode and read the immo and eeprom? --- Much apprecate your videos and your time.
@timtracy94423 жыл бұрын
1, yes, you can ground out the pin in the cluster to put the chip in boot mode and then AVDI will put it into service mode.. The yellow wire with the pin on it is hooked to the ground wire inside the box that holds the wiring with a 1 k ohm resistor inline.. AS for the SVCI or FVTI, I am not going to say anything bad about the clones, which that is... But, and it's a big but, if it doesn't work, realize that for the last few years you have to reauthorize your AVDI every 30 days.. they did that so none of the clones can try and access the AVDI server... As for the micronas cluster, yes, you can do the same thing.. I just haven't got around to uploading that video.. With micronas, you take daughter board off back of housing, put onto front half, then hookup power, ground, can hi and lo, then ground out boot pin on board, and do the same procedure... good luck.. check out supervag to see how to do the micronas dash...
@TheSkyNinja3 жыл бұрын
@@timtracy9442 OK perfect. I kinda figured as much. as for the SVCI hardware, so far its been "ok" but the software does seem to lag behind a few generations. The online update does occur, but not with all the VW versions... LOL with that said, I will keep an eye open for when you post the Micronas video! Thanks for the reply! Much appreciated!

Class is in professor. I thought this was a old video. It looked like that other one. Is abrites working on something like the vag helper cable for these? Or is that a different system?
@timtracy94424 жыл бұрын
Abrites already has the same thing as VagHelper... You select imoo 4/5 with tokens and it works just like vag helper... I thought I posted this video a year ago, but not sure where it went... When we changed the NEC cluster cable so it had the yellow boot pin wire, we made the video... It comes with this video and about 10 pics of different clusters and where to put the ground pin.. The old way was to take the 24C32 or 24C64 chip off the cluster and change some of the data, then put it back on the cluster and get into boot mode.. A lot easier to hold pin on a spot and then turn on power and count to 10..
@dubcreations35404 жыл бұрын
You mentioned "tokens" which I'm sure is payment. Will abrites perform this function without tokens? I've probably already asked this but not sure which one of your videos I commented on..
@timtracy94424 жыл бұрын
@@dubcreations3540 On the newer cars that have a different CS for different modules, immo 4 and 5, you need to calculate the CS by reading the CS from the modules in the car and then running that data thru a server to calculate the data to precode the key with and sync the modules when you program the key to the car. When you open the AVDI key learning special function, it has four options, regular, wizard, immo 4/5 with tokens, and one other... If you select immo4/5 with tokens, it access's your tokens, ( you have to have tokens in your account) if you read the data from the car, it will then give you the option to run the data thru the server... If you go to the 2nd screen of the quickstart, there is an icon for updating your AVDI and to see how many tokens you have, or buy some... Do you need tokens for every key learning process??? NO... just the later models... If you use ODIS to program a dealer key, you can watch as it reads data from car, then sends data to the server, then programs key, the syncs all the modules together...If if fails on any step, you have a key that turns on the car, but won't start... it's not fun when a customer is watching and ODIS has a glitch and now no keys will start there baby... usually works the 2nd time...
