Andrew, Thank you for all the informative videos on the new '23 Sportage. I was interested in getting one and started watching your vids 2 months before I got my SX Prestige (U.S.). Your videos were a big selling point for me. When I received my new Sportage I pretty much knew everything about it from watching and listening to you. I was able to look back to your vids when setting up my preferences too. I even taught a few things to my salesman that I learned from your videos that he did not know. 😄

Wow Melinda, that's incredible to hear! I'm very glad I could help you out that way, you're going to LOVE your new Sportage! Keep an eye out for more! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

Glad I found this vid. I just got an update in my e-Niro that completely changed my nav system. The ADRESS option is gone and replaced by search and I could not figure out how to just put in an address...the "suggestions" just make it look like it can't find what you're looking for. In my opinion this is a HUGE step back and completely unnecessary. Why couldn't they just leave the ADDRESS option alone? It also doesn't explain it clearly at all in the manual/user guide.

Yeah they've been making some tweeks to the software that we find is unnecessary, unfortunately we just have to live with it. Glad the video helped though! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

@@CardinalKia Please can you send some sort of memo or request to Kia Centre, in order to bring the old way of entering addresses back? I have a Kia Stinger MY19, and I have to travel a lot abroad across Europe. The old method (choosing Country, then City, Street, House number) was much-much better IMHO. Ideally there should be two buttons at the beginning of entering a destination: By address (the old method) and by free-text Search (the new method). Thank you in advance, much appreciated!

@OPAdmiral I wish I had that kind of pull here, but I don't unfortunately. Some of the next vehicles like the EV9 have an entirely new infotainment system, so it looks like things are changing again! - Andrew

Easiest way is to use the voice command button on steering wheel, say " destination" then where you want to go and it will do it for you no need to take your hands off the wheel.

Absolutely right! I should have said to not do this while moving the car, haha. Thanks for watching! - Andrew

@@CardinalKia unless I missed it a clip of how to use the voice recognition and the SOS button would be handy fella.

I hope that works..because since I updated my navigation ..it does not work as before

Hi Andrew How do I set the route avoidance options? Does that have to be done each time you set the destination address or can you just set it once and it’s set forever? Thanks!
@CardinalKia Жыл бұрын
When you have a destination in the Nav, you can go into the Navigation Menu and Route Options will become available, we've turned ours on to avoid toll roads and it has worked ever since! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

How do you make the front lights do that animation (lights going from top to bottom) 0:00 to 0:13 secs in this video
@CardinalKia2 жыл бұрын
I wish this was a thing we could actually do, it's just the way that the refresh rate of the LEDs show up on camera. They do not do this in person. Thanks for watching! - Andrew

Hi How do you adjust the volume on the nav system - I can't hear the directions they are giving me - thanks!
@CardinalKia2 жыл бұрын
Quickest way, is when you are viewing the map, if you look to the left on the screen you'll see a spot that says Nav and has a little speaker under it, when you select that you can change the voice volume and you can change the chime volumes. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

I saw another Sportage video from either Europe or Asia showing the boomerang DRL in motion. Was told by the dealer when i picked mine up they don't do that in North America due to stricter headlight laws....and yet at the start of this video the DRLs are in motion. So the question becomes...how do I get them to do that on mine? 4-way flashers? Turn signals? Something else?
@CardinalKia2 жыл бұрын
They still don't do that here. The only reason they are 'in motion' is because of the camera refresh rate. I assure you they are not in motion to the naked eye. Thanks for watching! - Andrew

We have a 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid LX (with 8" screen, not 12"). A few days ago, we used the navigation window. Now we can't find it. Not sure what I might have done that made it to go away, but would sure appreciate some help.

You could try hitting the All Menus button on the screen (if it's there) to see where the Nav menu is. If you still can't find it, I would take it to your local Kia to have it looked at! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

I put in address but it forces me to put in a street. Is it possible to not be as specific as street number? Also do you have a chat/discord where we can ask questions?
@CardinalKia2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend using the street number and street name, the range for just numbers may be too great. I mostly try to answer the questions on here. I do many other things for the dealership, including answering my customers questions in person in the dealership! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
