I'm sure you're getting tons of requests for videos on different things for the new Captivate, so here's mine! I'd love to see software simulation, adding click boxes, and adding text captions (not closed captions, but text captions with callouts that you can customize to different colors). Hi Ted, I'm assuming you are referring to the Neospeech/Readspeaker Voice Text Markup Language (VTML). I'm not sure if it is supported in the all new Adobe Captivate. @@CaptivateTeacher Thanks for the response. No, what I was really after was a simple text box can I take one word and hyperlink it to an audio file to make it say just that one word or phrase? Probably a dumb question but I just want to know if the new Captivate can do that. Thanks.

@@tedhildebrandt_BeL Ah. The only hyperlink I can create is to a web page. Presently there is no option for playing audio.

@@CaptivateTeacher That's a deal breaker for me as I'm trying to teach a foreign language and need to be able to select a single word or phrase and have it play the sound of the word. Sad development for me and it seems like 2 steps backward for Captivate. Keep up the good work your videos are extremely helpful however.

Hi Paul. Can you make a video on working with images in captivate 12? Is there som magic in 12? I have used lot of time in classic with resizing/preparing images.

Hi Paul, great video as usual. I noticed that when you previewed the slide, preview in the browser opened with white background and not the office image as you have set up during video. Is it Captivate glitch or you have changed the background back to normal just before preview? Sorry if you find this question silly, I know I can check it myself, but point is that I don't have a new captivate instaled yet. Whenever I try to install it, my Captivate Classic crash and won't open, so I stick with old version for now. Thank you for great video 👍

I think I probably thought it was ugly so I turned it off. All my videos are edited so the background probably ended up on the cutting room floor (so to speak). If you are having problems running both versions as once you should let Adobe know. [e-mail]

Hi Paul. Is there any way to add narrations to each carousels page? I can see the audio is disabled when I select any component in the carousel.

Audio on each carousel page is not presently available but I suggest that you provide Adobe this feature request. My guess is that the more of us that provide this request, the more likely we will see this feature soon. Click on your *Help* dropdown and select *Provide Feedback* to let them know.

You have a couple of choices. The first is to use an image media block at the top of each slide that can contain your organization's logo. Second is that you can have a background image that contains your logo. I guess the third is to put in a feature request for this ability with Adobe. Click on the Help dropdown and select Provide Feedback.

Hi Paul, I noticed you only changed the colour of the overall indicator. Is there a way to change the colour of the selected indicator? It stays blue on mine, no matter colour I change the colour of indicator or theme colours to... Thanks in advance 🙂

I don't see a way to do that. Click on the *Help* dropdown and select *Provide Feedback* to let Adobe know you would like this capability as a feature enhancement. If enough people request it or agree with your request, Adobe will add it to a future version of Captivate.

Hi Paul, I have a question, could you please help me about "How do we control Audio with actions"? For example:- I have 3 buttons tab activity, each have audio, I want 1st should be active, 2nd will be active ONLY when 1st AUDIO is completed. For 3rd tab again tab 1and tab 2 should be completed with AUDIO? Is that anything that we can do in this Captivate 12.3.0.?

I could do this in Classic, but there is one component missing from the All-New Adobe Captivate. The ability to delay the next action by a certain number of seconds. If I had that action I could do it. Perhaps there is a JavaScript command that would do the same thing but I'm not a JS developer

How can I match the carousel animation direction to the slide order? For example, going from slide 2 to 3 brings the new one in from the right (which makes sense), but if we move back from slide 3 to 2 then the previous one still comes from the right (which doesn't make sense, visually). I cannot see a setting to do this - is there a way?

Not presently possible but your can click on *Help > Provide feedback* to let Adobe know this is something you would like to have in a future update.
