Hello Pip! He's gorgeous... And Im so jealous on how peaceful he seems tro be with shrimp! A darkwater biotope is the healthiest way to keep a Betta and I would love to do one eventually so I say go for it.

Thank you for your comment. He does have the odd shrimp but he doesn't actively hunt them which is good.

On the first tank you feature, what is the substrate, which light is on it, and do you use CO2? Looks great.

@@gabrielliberman8247 I have just used an old mix of sand, soil etc and capped it with a quartz gravel. I did put some root tabs in, the Seachem Flourish tabs. The light is a budget 24w led off amazon, links are in the description and no co2 just low tech. Hope this helps!
