it’s crazy to see the progress! also quick question. my knowledge on batteries is almost nonexistent but the words “lithium battery” strikes a primal fear after some nasty incidents like ups 6. is the battery casing already fireproof? are you gonna add any fire resistant casing or anything? i’m guessing it’s so small that all you’ll need is a fire extinguisher, but cockpit fires are definitely something that would not be ideal.

In the past yes, but the technology is a bit different now. In fact EarthX has TSOed batteries and STCs for all kinds of aircraft. I’m not terribly worried about it, but understand the concern completely.
