Pokémon is very popular, in fact, within the past 3 years it’s seen a huge resurgence. Pokémon wasn’t popular in the late 2000s and early to mid 2010s. However Pokemon Sword and Shield which released in 2019, is the 2nd most selling Pokémon game OF ALL TIME. It’s only behind Red and Blue. But a Pokémon game released in 2019 sold more than Gold and Silver, Ruby and Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl. All of the old Pokémon games. Plus, Pokémon cards have seen a huge increase in popularity too, just watch KZbin videos on Pokémon card revival. In 2020, there was a short period where Pokémon cards were selling like crazy, reaching sales comparable to the late 90s. Pokémon is still definitely popular. It wasn’t popular 10 years ago, but today, Pokemon is being revived.

I loved gen 3 so much as a kid and ORAS was just so good with mega evolutions and more pokemons (especially my 2nd favourite gen 4). ORAS is definitely one of the best games ever made!
