To me, it seems like Gene Wood was almost always happy whenever he did the intros for "Family Feud!" He was (and still is) one of the best announcers ever!

This episode appeared on The Best of All Star Family Feud DVD. It has another 1979 All Star Family Feud ABC Primetime Special with the stars of One Day at a Time, Benson, Dallas, and Eight is Enough.

Definitely creepy. I hated Gordon Jump after this show. And I mean this FF episode. Different Strokes episode too. But I thought "oh. It's in the script". This one? 🤢

I loved The Love Boat and still do; but it seemed like they had lousy luck when they appeared on Family Feud. They managed to win a game against "Eight is Enough" but they came up short in the Fast Money round, and then they lost to "Three's Company."
@ChrisBakerauthor Жыл бұрын
The cast of _Eight is Enough_ was horrible at this game.

When I see and hear Mark Russell I think of Phil Hartman in the episode of NewsRadio "Public Domain" when he parodies Russell. Looks and voice 😂 😢.

I am amazed at how often teams would pass after winning the faceoff. That happened much less frequently as the show got older.
@marcojimenez595 Жыл бұрын
I think because Ray Combs literally never asked or just assumed they would play instead of pass. Strange, because you say it is surprising yet strategic.

The ones who got kissed gave their consent before the show. Each person was asked before the show if they did not want to be kissed by Dawson; if they said that they didn’t, the position was respected. The ones who got kissed were the ones who said they wanted him to kiss them.

As others said, it was a different time. After Dickie Dawson, a known ladies man, kissed some ladies, then most wanted to be smooched. If they didn't, it would have stopped. It worked, as he found his last wife on there!
