I love Pansori! I was introduced to Pansori through Korean variety shows and immediately fall in love with the art! I managed to see live Pansori performance in Gyeongbokgung Palace and it was amazing! So much better live, experiencing being apart of the “추임새”, so much fun!

I first heard about pansori from my college professor sophomore year. We read the translated (English) version of Chunhyangga and watched a few clips of it. It was amazing since it's rare for Asian literature to be taught in the U.S. I was lucky to have a Korean professor so I was able to learn about the Asian literatures.

I've always been fascinated with 판소리. It really hits right to your heart and you really don't even need to understand the story to understand the emotion, and that is beautiful. Hopefully I will be able to see ome of these performances live one day.

This is a superb introduction to pansori for those, like me, who have a limited understanding of what it is. I was especially inspired by the infectious enthusiasm you so obviously have for your art; what a joy it is to see someone living a life committed to something that she clearly loves so much. Thank you!

Wow! The cadence of the song with the drum reminds me of Native American songs! 😮😮😮 Pansori is really amazing! Do you know how much technique it takes to use one's voice like that? Is the singer always female, and drummer male?

This was really educational and well done by a talented artist who knows her art and history. Love to see more of these videos. Now I finally understand the reason for so many hare/rabbit songs. Also never knew apricots were good for having healthy birth. Humor section: Interesting that it's universal that women across cultures and times cannot decide what they want to eat as shown in the song.
