That Bobcat operator was a pro! Not only did he know how to finesse that excavator, he worked really well with you. The hard part is over. If you plan to do any raised beds you may want to consider putting them in and filling them prior to covering the high tunnel.

Amazing footage of a true professional digging the post holes with the bobcat. It helps to have someone else on the ground to keep the posts level. Thank you for another amazing video!

And yet, there's no doubt in my mind that you and Gina will have that greenhouse growing everything from tomatoes to potatoes! Especially the sweet kind!! Well, you got the big effort beginning done, so everything can go at a pace that is maybe not so break neck! Maybe? I you're a hard worker, just hope you don't wear yourself out too bad, cause I know how much you wanna get this done!!! Gina, too. 😊 Notice how much Hope stands up for herself now that Willows on vacation? Do you think the boys are rowdy cause they haven't had any dates lately! 😮😂😂 Love my Lumnahs!!! 💓💛💚💙💜

Al brother, I can tell ya one thing for sure...if you plan on using the rest of the field for pasture, I would definitely recommend raking out the field to get all the rocks on the surface before next winter comes. That way the soil is not only turned over, but you have much more surface area for plants to regrow on, instead of the rocks taking up much of the space. Especially that one big boulder that may be buried at that one spot you mentioned months back when you were mowing the field. As for that one, gonna need a huge tractor to get that one extracted. Or jackhammer it into smaller pieces.

With those huge boulders buried in the soil, it makes you wonder how the earth evolved. Not only were there a bunch of big ones, but the earth is also full of smaller rocks. Now I know where the boulders came from to build the rock walls on the driveway. The high tunnel is coming along nicely. The banana bread looks great.

Glaciers did it. As the glaciers advanced they scraped and flattened earth and mountains and the rocks that were created from that were transported forward then dumped as the glaciers retreated north. We get those same rocks all over Quebec to the north of NH.

I've never heard Loam pronounced Loom. Loam, like Rome. Good loam is a precious resource in NH rocky soil. I remember my mom buying a truck load of black loam so she could plant a garden after we dug out the big surface rocks. One rock was too big. Never did find the bottom after digging down over 4 feet. NH rocks....Ya gotta love 'em. They make great fences and retaining walls.

Exciting potential, I watched 100 videos on setting up High tunnels, from rainwater collection to Aquaponics, with that one building setup your potential for total self sufficiency, and profit is much greater. Rocks may not be good in the garden, but rocks are great, you can build with them. PS. goats like rocks also.

Been watching some old planting video's and wanted to give you a tip. Take the package the seeds come in and put tape on the picture to prevent moisture from messing up the photo. On the opposite side, write the date you planted it and tape over that. Use a popsicle stick or a wooden stake and staple the package to it and place in the soil near the edge. This way you won't forget when and what was planted there. 👍🥒🌽🥦🧄

Gina, have you ever used nutmeg in your banana bread? Not a lot but for one loaf I think it is 1/4 teaspoon. I like to chop some walnuts and add them to the batter. I also mix some melted butter, sugar, a few more chopped walnuts, a bit more nutmeg and some good cinnamon and cover the top of the batter. Yum! I am 76 and only within the last six months discovered that cinnamon has a sweet taste!

If your area is prone to high winds you should consider digging about 18 in deep around your corner and first post then dry pack concrete around your post. Also put wind braces in all four corners. I've seen green house built like this survive near miss's of tornadoes. I witnessed 60 MPH straight wind rip the plastic off a ground to ground house.

Re: rocks Livi lesson- Get a jar of mixed nuts. Pour it into a slightly larger clear jar. Have Livi gently shake it. [ agitation from a power tool works too] Notice that the larger nuts come to the top. This is how [freezing and thawing], and why rocks boil up in your fields.

How about the next greenhouse digging down 6 feet and doing earth bag walls (cheaper than concrete)to strengthen the perimeter and get below the frost line. Do some winter-over gardening since the greenhouse will be lower. You’ll need plexi-corrugated clear panels I think on a slope so you can clear snow easy. To supplement grow lights when you can. Wood stove with fresh air intake from outdoors. Heated fresh air exchange maybe guessing. Semi below ground green houses are a trend in cold climates. People are growing citrus in northern climates and one guy has been doing it for decades. Selling at market in the off season.

Teamwork makes the dream work. Living on a mountain I feel your pain. it took 1 guy half a day to dig one post hole. There is a ytuber that makes a lot of one pot meals and 3 ingredient desserts. He just showed a 3 ingredient banana bread with flour, 1 can sweetened condensed milk and 5 bananas ( he added a 4ith - cinnamon because he liked it but not needed).it looked wonderful and so easy!
