@allterrainadventure 🤣 surprisingly. What wire size are running on the mig?
@allterrainadventure18 күн бұрын
.9 but grabbed some .6 (from memory) for the panels
@51CKGU18 күн бұрын
@allterrainadventure yeah righto, I have .9 in mine but would blow holes straight through that stuff. Might need to swap to .6 when I finally get my dodge 😉

Mate I subscribed last video only because of this car. Fantastic story of the previous owner and how you acquired it. I’m not interested in 4x4 stuff. First up, the AMS XC Falcons are a significant car. Performance was a dirty word at Ford Australia at this time and this car was released with almost no media coverage as very few people new about the. Ar even when it was new. It was almost as if Ford was ashamed of their heritage, but they made @ promise to Moffat to release a special edition car after the John Goss Special was realised. Interesting fact. The JGS was originally planned to be an AMS,but after Gossys popular Bathurst win, they changed plans at the last minute) Anyway, the AMS is over re ent years become more known about and as Allan Moffat is favourite Bathurst hero and Aussie race immortal legend, these cars will only soar in value. My dad bought a Pine and Lime ( yellow) AMS when new and even back then everyone just thought it was a Rally Pack XC with XB bonnet paint outs. The little signature and flag decal only lasted about a month before detonating and Ford had none in spare parts to replace them. I’m loving the videos. You are explaining the cars how they were built, what you are doing and in a way that any backyard car hack can relate to. I know these cars were built poorly when new, but don’t cut corners on this one. The value when you do sell will pay for the extra time. 🔥👍

Spot on mate!! In fact only last few months has the stickers become available! Yeah mate I’ve had a few xb’s and this is my first xc. I will be doing as much as possible myself and keeping it as original as possible.

I had an xc in the 80's and 90's was a 200 manual on the tree. Changed it to 250 automatic and fully integrated factory air con as I bought another stacked xc with that in it. Swapped it over. Biege in colour with brown interior. I called it the shammy. Brought the kids up in it. Had it for ten years. Before that an HR holden, had that for ten years too after I got my licence at 18. It think the XB was a better looking car between the XA to the XC. Anyway keep up the great work. Cheers from Nev.
