Excellent video Allen. One thing that stands out with you which I think I have said before is the quality and the high standard of work you produce. I watch and follow many plumbers/gas engineers but you just absolutely take it to another level. Love to know a bit more about your self though like Interest and past times( other than boilers). Movies, football team, best holiday destination, maybe you can introduce Mrs Hart, as they behind every successful man there's a good women..😀

@max navsa Agreed, wholeheartedly, but if the standard of Allen's workmanship is anything to go by, (going off personal experience that is) there must be a very demanding woman with a bloody great rolling pin, Rollers in her hair and fag hanging out the corner of her gob stood behind him. great video allen , i am really taken with this boiler and viessmann on the whole (after watching a few of your videos) your neat work is brilliant and you thought it through very well i saw a little jig that cuts pipe insulation perfect 45 and a tee cut thats VERY neat ..i will see if i can find a link i am moving soon (as i said before) and i think i will pipe the house with that pipe i know you can hire the crimpers from various hire shops ..or i could be cheeky and ask for a demo model from hilti as my firm has a account with them and they come running when i call up about products ha ha ha ) i love the manfold in the commercial industrial field these are common and using pressure reducers always works well thanks for the video Allen very helpful glad to see a guy ready to take on new technology and not get stuck in his ways , clearly all these products are the future

Looking forward to a photo post of some nice neat wireing. Have you labeled the manifold taps. You have made a sculpture in the garage. Hoping it's well clear of any vehicle that may enter. You know your going to have to find an even bigger boiler to install in the next house.(no cooker required just run it under the tap) Would like to see more flue issues and solutions ,maybe on the next job. Great channel.

Hi there, have just found video and note this is the same boiler intended for our home. My question is, do you have a video for flue installation as this seems to be a big issue for us? We have extremely thick solid stone walls, so there's no possibility of going through that. Hoping to go through the roof but are limited not only as there is a small room above but a roof light to avoid. We know 30-60cm is the regulation for windows and doors because of possible back flow. Conflicting information on other forums and engineers (possibly they have their own agenda, at our cost). So difficult to get honest correct information. Finding guidelines on building regs is also difficult. Would appreciate any advise you can give regarding this. How many bends are allowed in the flue before going through the roof and how far does that flue have to be from a roof light (we are unsure if the 30-60cm would be the same as doors and windows, in this case? Is there a height past the rooflight, (if applicable) does the flue have to be or can this be the same height (as if a roof light wasn't there)? Thank you

Hi Allen brilliant video, I'm just looking into the press fit system and watched a lot of videos on how they work, however, the only one I can't seem to find is how you would press fit onto a Gas meter union.....is it a special union or a standard union with a press fit coupler, likewise with things like brass drain off valves are they all standard brass valves/union's you'd use with end feed copper fittings and then you press fit connection onto them. Hoping someone can explain this one as there is not a lot of info that I can find about it Thanks in advance

Here in the states we use Zone circulators to move the water to the heating circuits, I never see you use them in your installation? Do you use the boiler circulator and just have I zone around the entire house?

This heating system has a built in circulator 👍 what boilers do you guys use?
@ML-lg4ky5 жыл бұрын
Allen Hart we are still stuck in the stone ages and mostly use cast iron boilers. Mostly because most homes have copper fin baseboard and need 180 degree water to work. Buderus is considered the premium boiler like viessmann is in the UK. We just do not have enough properly trained plumbers here to support real growth into the high efficiency equipment. To bad because the demand is very high! Cheers

Thank you very much for your videos, extremely helpful. Some questions I hope you might help me with: I see a inlet control multibloc valve group in your installation. Do you always install one of those with these Viessmann Vitodens 111? Is it because these boilers are like a combi sealed system? Are they really necessary? Thank you very much in advance.

What is the reason behide the tundish on the heating pipes on a condensing boiler would you not just have prv/blow off from the boiler go outside
@amandasmith80843 жыл бұрын
Hi Alan I’ve had this boiler fitted but disappointed I have 1 bar coming in with a flow rate of 12litres per min The cold water pipe coming in is only 15mm The plumber has added only 15mm pipes to all hot and cold water pipes to feed appliances Is that correct as some people say is ok but other say is should be 22mm It’s a big property Thanks
@AllenHart9993 жыл бұрын
You can only get out what you have going in. You could get 20 l/m out if you have that as your incoming
@amandasmith80843 жыл бұрын
Thanks Alan for your response Would you assume as only getting 12 litres coming through this wasn’t the correct boiler to install? Surely the plumber should QC before installation what the best type of heating is required for the customer

Thanks Allan, I think you have told me what conclusion I was starting to come to. I have had the boiler for 3 years and it keeps breaking down. I have had viessman back half a dozen times. It’s been making banging noises when it fires up for hot water, they have changed a few parts and it seems ok for a while and starts again. I have them coming today as water is now coming out of the flue outside. I don’t think it is fit for purpose

We are planning for a new boiler installation. There are multiple bathrooms in the house. How many simaltinous shower can Viessmann 111 support?
@AllenHart9995 жыл бұрын
Kambiz Katani depends on flow rates, what’s your in coming pressure and flow
@glennwwww5 жыл бұрын
Allen Hart same question, my flow rate is 2.5 bar water pressure. 17 litres per minute and the water supply is shared with our next door neighbour. Estimate for Thames water to install a new pipe for our own supply was £3k +vat. Can do 25mm or 32 or 50mm. 32mm = 72 litres per minute We also have a Harvey’s water softener, 2 showers, dishwasher. Can’t make mind up between a 111 or the Vaillant ecotec plus 928 or even if a storage Combi would work for me, what would you recommend? Great video series by the way 😀
@coopstheplumber5 жыл бұрын
Really good series of videos Allen, must be difficult to take the time while doing the job to stop and go through things when you’ll be wanting to push on and get the job done and also get the customer some hot water back on, personally I’ve never fitted a Viessmann boiler so to see an installation from start to finish is very interesting. In that situation what made you go for the large storage combi rather than a system / heat only boiler and unvented cylinder ?
@AllenHart9995 жыл бұрын
Customer wanted a combi to start with, Didnt want cylinders, This has worked out to be the perfect solution. Thanks.
