Fantastic video! I find things like these interesting not because I'm going to do the work myself, but because it helps me know what questions to ask a plumber. Thank you Allen!

Thank you for taking the time to make a comprehensive video about all the pipe work and tanks in the loft. I can’t imagine it was easy filming up their so I appreciate being able to see everything you was doing - I watch your videos for my own knowledge, I’m not a plumber!

"Squeeze into the loft space" I'm 9 1/2 stone wet thru. Last time I negotiated a loft/attic conversion space, to get to the tanks, I had do a training course at The Cirque Du Soleil first. after grunting, twisting and contorting... Guess what I found? No crawling boards, no lights, plumes of dust, itchy insulation and when I finally got to the wiring box, pump and controls, I found an s plan with three (THREE??), 2 ports valves.. only one wired up, a tiny, tiny cylinder, the cover off the wiring box missing (surprise, surprise) and a wasps nest. The water in that F&E tank looked like my bath water after I'd been in "that" loft. After seeing that wasps nest... You should have seen the state of my underpants! Seriously... Al, top info.

I will never forget that b is for bath . I still have a metal cold water tank in the attic . It's empty ,and exactly the same size as the hatch when the ladder is not resting there. One day I will get it down somehow.

hey great video i was just wondering does the hot water cylinder heat up the cold water that comes into the house cause at my old house i had a very similar set up but with no gas boiler or any kind of gas does the cylinder like a kettle where it heats the water up
@ozzysmygod15 жыл бұрын
The attic conversion looks new? So they wasted all that space for the water tanks that are getting removed?

Hi mate, I have water tanks and a cylinder, I want to get rid of them what would I need to replace it with? I have a fully electric property

I have a strange set up. So i have a boiler controlling the heating only and a hot water tank and cylinder that does the water. Its odd to me

Great video, I wonder if you could offer advice, I have a vented electric boiler and someone stole the lead pipe that was used for the vent which was going to the water tank in the attic, I got the vent pipe replaced but there is water gushing from the vent pipe non-stop into the water tank, is this normal? The water keeps gushing from the vent pipe even when the electric is turned off, I spent 250 for a plumber to replace the vent pipe and when I called to tell him the vent pipe is pouring out water non-stop he switched his mobile off claiming he has the coronavirus and he will not be taking calls, please can you offer advice as I am worried, thank you.
