A good tip I learned from a ukulele player and a guitar player is to set a schedule - for example: five minutes a day to practice a scale with the metronome; five minutes to practice a tricky change of chords; five minutes to practice a strumming pattern or a finger-picking exercise; five minutes to learn a bit of a song that may include what was practiced before. It seems that setting goals help increase motivation.

I just ordered a Kala concert ukulele and it’s arriving today. I haven’t touched strings in maybe 50 years but I’m officially retired and bored. Can’t wait!

Self taught during lockdown with a guitar, I decided to also learn the uke! Found your lessons to be spot on! Not a day goes by I don’t have a uke in hand. Along with (now) two guitars I also have 3 ukes and a banjolele! Looking to expand my uke playing by learning to play more than just on the first 3 to 4 frets.

30 days! Done ✅ Thanks Kevin 😊 I did it! I recorded the same song for 30 days. The benefits are more than just improved performance. It kept me accountable and disciplined. I almost missed a day. But, I made it before midnight! I highly recommend 30 day challenges. They're obtainable. 🦋

I started playing 10 month ago and perhaps I skipped only one day on my first day of corona so I couldnt sing. Still corona has affected my vocal cords but I practice every day for at least an hour. I can now play over a 100 songs.

Hi, Ive just purchased a soprano to learn on with the desire to end up in the style of Jake Shimabukuro..I always thought it was an instrument for beachside campfires until I heard his version of Bohemian Rhapsody, fell in love and bought it the next day, now looking for the correct order to learn, wish me luck 😊

I have a microphone hook up to record. Just started using it. Still having a hard time with B. My first finger still wants to pop up when putting down other fingers at same time. That is what I will be working on. Oh, and love the tutorials on your website. Just started the barre chord series. But I will conquer the "B"!💓

Such good advice about staying focused. I started learning Uke over a year ago but felt I was making no progress - probably because I was flitting from one video to another and not staying with a song long enough to master it.
