@@brandyandcream2 I'm not gay, but I'd like to give my two cents. I don't know if it's as easy as that, where you just lose attraction (although maybe it is for some people). I think as humans, we are all attracted to bad things sometimes, whether is is the opposite sex, other forms of sexual immorality, alcohol, drugs, gambling, stealing things you can't afford, food, lying, and innumerable other things. The difference, is that if you repent, God can give you the will to resist. Even Christians sin, so I doubt it's always as easy as that. I would love to hear others chime in with their thoughts!

Eunuchs made that way by others were molested and something inside of them blocks off a certain type of body but it doesn't happen to everyone that is abused. Those that CHOOSE to live like Eunuchs FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN are bisexual people that choose partners of the same sex-characteristics but opposite in regards to gender. GENDER is determined in the brain and designated at birth and has nothing to do with sex characteristics. Notice, God PREFERS for people to be in LGBT relationships. You know rapture occurs right HERE on earth right? Malachi 4:2-3 It is when God's true people shine like the sun with the glory of the Lord right here on earth. Jesus comes back to rule. Some people will live forever. The rapture teaching inside the fake churches is mostly LIES. The new heaven and earth will be made here. Do you get it? The ones taken are NOT good. WW3 will bring down all government institutions and they are ALL corrupt. 1/3 of all people will die at least. I am Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6 and Acts 3:22-23 says it will come to pass that anyone that fails to listen to me will be utterly destroyed from among the people. Anyone that continues to teach the LIE of monetary tithing or sells anything at all using the gospel CHOOSES to DIE with the wicked. It's their choice. Same-sex marriage is NOT a sin. My adult daughter is gay and it has been hard. The struggle between truth and love is real. Her father is a preacher but was very harsh to her and basically disowned her after finding her in a relationship with a girl. He did not show her any love, just judgment and it pushed her away from Christianity entirely. She will not discuss anything having to do with Jesus to me and it breaks my heart. I finally just started praying for her because I don't know what else to do but turn it over to God. I really appreciate hearing Beckett Cook give his testimony it gives me hope maybe one day she too will come to Christ.
@jenniferbarney11272 жыл бұрын
I just read your message stargazer and wanted to say I was brokenhearted and struggled with the possibility of "pushing" my child out of the faith too with some of my responses to his turning away from the Lord. I will always remember in many times of crying and on my face before the Lord wondering where we had gone wrong, that he said, one day "Jenn I was a perfect parent (to my children Israel) and look what they did in response." When God gave me this new perspective I was drawn closer to Him "in the fellowship of His sufferings" experiencing in the tiniest way the pain He must feel with untold numbers of children who refused to listen to Him. We pray for our son daily and love him like crazy whenever we have the chance. It's taken years for him to love us again. We see this as the Lord softening his heart, so we have hope. Also, I listened to Christopher Yuan's testimony and felt a tremendous relief when he said we all - including our children - bear responsibility for our choices and to blame oneself for another's is a false blame. I'm choosing to believe this experience will form a huge part of my son's testimony of his journey back to Jesus. I hope and pray this helps a little ...
@levans34472 жыл бұрын
@@jenniferbarney1127 I picked up on that as well( the comment on how her father reacted) . One thing I have found is people make excuses why the children go the way they go by blaming the parents less than perfect response. We are all human and we react how we do out of fear and desperation that our children are lost . It's painful and it's hurtful and it's terrifying to think where they are headed. Just listen to what Beckett says this dark world is like . No parent would really want that for their child especially a Christian parent. I would like to hear more of exactly how Becketts parents treated him.. did they engage his boyfriend's ? Did they mingle with his friends and just accept it all? I personally could not do so and it puts christian parents in a very confusing situation. As Beckett says you have to tell the truth . They may perceive it as harsh even when it was really not. No one is perfect and it's not a parents fault if the child leaves the faith. They chose to do that and may use their parents harsh reaction as an excuse . But the real reason is that they know they are in sin but want to stay there , therefore rejecting the faith. We cannot all balance truth and grace perfectly every single time like Jesus did , but people need the truth. It's tough and I don't blame the father (realizing I do not know their full story). You can love , tolerate , and accept someone straight to hell if not careful.

How about just gain some humility and realise there are a thousand and one ways of being and living in this world and maybe just maybe she doesn’t need to explain her way of life. Maybe the world would be better if there were less people who felt they needed others to acquiesce and submit to the religious lifestyle others were brought up in. Leave the poor girl alone and love her and respect that her reality of the world is different to yours. I know you’re coming from a place of concern but it will only hurt her. As a graduate of theology I can tell you the basis of homosexual prohibition is more nuanced and complex than what Christians insist upon.
@stargazer12382 жыл бұрын
@@Harvyy99 Speaking of humility, don't you find it a little bit hypocritical that you are preaching about what I should do with my daughter and proclaiming you know the truth of God's word and use your study of theology as a justification of that? Likewise, I was educated, I studied law and here is what I would like you to think on....what do you think what happen if I went to court and stood before the judge and told the other side that their case was null and void because I studied law? That is exactly what you just did in your comment to me. Scripture clearly states that homosexuality is a sin, it is not nuanced and complex, it stated in scripture. Religion is a completely different topic. Religion is men's traditions and has relatively nothing to do with walking with God and Jesus and accepting the holy spirit and following the word of God and I am surprised you don't know that considering you studied theology.

If I can relate it to non-religious terms, I would say its like an addict who finally realizes they have a problem and then they get the help they desire and need to live their lives free from addiction. Its really no different in some aspects. With that said, just because you become Christian doesn't mean you stopped sinning(although we strive to not sin and have remorse for the sins we do commit)and become a perfect person, its just that your penalty is paid and you no longer are recieving the wages of your sin which is death because Jesus paid the fine. God knows that we can't stop sinning because the heart of man(human race) is desperately wicked. It is simply recognizing our sin before a loving and just God(who BTW has shown to you and everyone else on earth the evidence that He is who He says He is in His creation, so that no one is without excuse), turning away from that sin(repentance) and recieving the gift of grace which Jesus did on the cross, bearing the weight of our sin to death so we wouldn't have to.

As a professional spiritual counselor who dealt with grief and sexual assault victims, I've seen too many of them turn away due to the bad actions of men. I pray all rapists and domestic violence abusers are held accountable.

I felt this way when I came back to the Catholic Church after being gone for 41 years. I was going thru a really bad divorce.. I had caught my husband cheating and he got mad and hit me three times then tried so hit me with a car… Wow… I left and felt lost.. my daughter said why don’t you come to church with us and I did and I thought for sure the roof would fall in… but I felt peace. And after the divorce I’ve continued to go and have become very active in my church. It’s been a blessing

It’s a weird thing-a difficult thing to explain, but being truthful is also humbling I think. I think that might be part of how to tell the truth genuinely and not harshly. If you are humble while telling the truth. If you’re really being genuine. If you’re even ready and willing to be humbled yourself. It’s not easy to be like Jesus, perfectly humble and genuinely caring and truthful.
@aaronlevitt68202 жыл бұрын
The thing Allie hit on near the end about getting sometimes very bad responses from the world even when we’re full of grace and truth is very important. It’s important toward showing that rejection-even harsh rejection-of us after we present the Gospel is NOT an indication we presented the Gospel poorly. We may or may not have done so, but the common world response to God and His Gospel is bitterness. See Matt 5:11, 24:9; Mark 8:35; 2 Tim 3:12, etc. The minority of responses is characterized by the following: “I’m so glad you told me that I was sinning. I want to stop sinning and live for God. What does the Bible say I should do?” The Bible is clear that we should not expect to be generally liked when we are speaking the truth. See 1 Cor 4:11-13 for how non-popular the apostles were with the world.

Melissa, I completely agree with you. Words have meaning. He refers to males. She refers to females. Biology dictates male and female, not feelings, which for some people, shift from day to day. I see absolutely nothing disrespect about choosing to refer to people by their names. I have a coworker who identifies as trans, I choose to refer to this person by the name they want to go by to avoid compromising on my moral beliefs or by disrespecting them by using their biological pronoun.

Mathew 19:12 Eunuchs that are born that way are transgender. Mathew 19:12 says God PREFERS for people to be in LGBT relationships. Anyone that teaches it is a sin when it is not also CHOOSES to perish with the wicked. WORLD PEACE IS COMING! Asking questions is okay, but anyone that rejects the messages from the messenger of Malachi 3:1 rejects Jesus Christ Himself and that means they will also not be here when Jesus comes back. Luke 10:7 states the only wages for ministering are eating and drinking whatever you are given. not a sin. If you want those reads on how same sex marriage is not a sin and how monetary tithing is a huge lie, send me your email. Male or female is determined by gender, located in the BRAIN. Pretrib rapture is LIES, false teaching. Again. WORLD PEACE IS COMING! Stay out of the fake churches. In order to be a church, the place must house people inside of it. Otherwise, it's part of the system of Babylon that does nothing bur further satan's agenda. They all teach lies as well. ****

One of the main things I take from this, was how open and humble this person was before God! I believe one of the main reasons that God was able to enter him and change him so instantly and completely was because of his willingness to humble himself before God and the church. Think about it, on his first trip to church, he actually went down to the prayer team, asked for prayer etc, publicly before God and everyone in the church. Many of us who go to church a lot still have trouble raising our hands or humbling ourselves and asking for prayer etc. Such a beautiful example! Thank you!

I am so glad for this interview between the two, because we live in a culture where many different movements are shoved in our faces and trying to shove it down our throats it can make a person hostile and bitter towards those communities, which isn’t good at all, spreading Gods truth uncompromisingly and lovingly is what we need to be brave enough to do, when hatred tries to wiggle its way into our hearts that is infection to the body; and as long as that’s there we cannot be of service to God.
@ericmatthaei97112 жыл бұрын
In English gendered pronouns exist only in the third person. Using them or not using them does not naturally come into play during direct one-on-one interaction with the person who is rejecting their biological sex. It only comes into play when you are referring to that person in conversation with someone else. So, adopting the preferred pronouns is not so much an act of love toward the person caught up in a transgender identity crisis, as it is a personal confession to the rest of the world of your convictions as they relate to that person’s identity. In other words, they aren’t asking you to be nice to them. They are asking you to substitute their “truth” for the truth in your conversation with the rest of the world.
@moldyvoldy12312 жыл бұрын
Unless they prefer to be referred to as they/them. Then it definitely comes up in one on one interaction with the person, but I do agree. It becomes so easy to refer to people's preferred pronouns in other conversations that they're not included in. I think this happens partly because it's become ingrained in the culture to do so and because those that don't comply are subjected to extreme hate and criticism.

Lack of faith is also a sin. Sometimes I find myself thinking there's no way this person is going to accept the gospel. They are so full of hatred for God and rebellion. Their souls are too corrupted, etc, etc. I feel so convicted that I would have so little faith that God can and will reach into any life and pluck somebody out of it if He has chosen that person. Who am I to decide who God chose in his infinite love and wisdom? I even feel this way about myself. I feel like my past has damaged me too much for me to be a good Christian or a good wife. God bless you and I pray @simfimpim you get to know this amazing GOD we are talking about!

I am both awed by and envious of his experience with God and the Holy Spirit. God is so awesome to save! I am so glad Becket has become a child of God and I wish him all the best, he was obviously called specifically by God for a very important purpose! God bless you, Becket!
