6:30 I still apply all my base products with my hands! I'm a natural glowy coverage type of gal, and I find when I apply my BB cream with a brush or a sponge, it takes away a lot of that glow as well as makes it sit less naturally on my skin (faster too!). Same with concealer and I don't use powder.

I only discovered your channel a few months ago, but after seeing this, I wish I knew about it back when you started! Sometimes KZbinrs have made me feel inadequate for not being professional with my skills or products. Can't follow a tutorial if I don't have the tools or products. I love how realistic you were in your OG video. Using a broken powder, not having a beauty blender, and applying foundation and concealer with your fingers... yet ending up with a flawless, beautiful look! It's reassuring to us simpler people that it's ok not to be perfectionist or makeup snob and still enjoy getting dolled up. :)

I've been using the NYX bare with me tinted skin veil for months now, and I've found that applying lighter foundations/tinted moisturizers with my hands/fingers works soooooo much better for me than a brush or sponge. So I've been using my hands to apply the skin veil and then a sponge for the concealer and I've been happy with how it looks 🥰

What a fun and nostalgic video! I was certainly intrigued over the techniques from your early KZbin days to your currently shared applications. I do test out new (not necessarily new on the market but new to me) foundations by applying with fingers though I have found some desperately need the help of a blending sponge for flawless application. I have loads of foundation beauty blenders and brushes but it looks so much more natural and pretty if I apply it with my hands. I use revlon colour match and it's a nice medium coverage and perfect for school! I notice if I use a brush it an leave streak marks and by using a beauty blender it can leave texture and sponge marks on your face. I like to look as close as I can to flawless and in my opinion fingers are the way to go! x

I just recently began apply foundations with my finger tips. I’m older and hate the way most foundations look on me after applying it with a sponge or brush. So I took a chance one day and loved it. I will use the sponge in areas for more coverage and where I don’t have a lot of fine lines.

I love this. My “go to” makeup was the dream matte mousse foundation applied with my hands, cover girl powder applied with the puff it comes with. Black and white eyeshadow applied with my fingers and the little sponges eyeshadow came with, and mascara. I just started using bronzer, brow products, highlight, and tools a few years ago. Maybe 3 years? Lol

I noticed that makeup artist I love ( Lisa Eldridge) use their fingers to apply complexion products sometimes. I think it's awesome because it melts the product with the warmth of your fingers.

There are some foundations that I like best with fingers, others with sponges, and still others with specific brushes. It’s always trial and error to find the best combo, but fingers are a great tool that shouldn’t be overlooked imho. I pretty much always blend out concealer with my fingers under the eyes, I feel like the warmth from my fingers really helps melt it into the skin. You can also get really nice coverage using fingers.

I use Clinique even better glow. Its changed over the years but that's what I've been using for the past couple years. I have almost always just used my hands (it's easy and quick for me) but for the past few months I've been finishing with brush.

This was so fun to watch! As for the question you posed, most of my life I applied foundation with my fingers. Now I fluctuate between my fingers and a beauty blender. The reasons vary... sometimes it's because of the foundation, sometimes it's because applying with fingers is faster, but for the most part it's simply about whatever I feel like doing in the moment. 😉

I’ve used beauty blenders, sponges, brushes, ever since I started wearing makeup, but just recently I started using my fingers and I actually prefer to apply this way now. Besides how it looks, I also think it has helped with my skin texture because I’m using clean hands instead of dirty makeup tools (I am lazy about cleaning them!). And my product goes a long way because it’s not being absorbed!
