They really are great. I found them 3 and a bit years ago and instantly fell in love with their channel. I watched all their back catalogue in just a few weeks. No matter what genre, budget or sometimes country, they always give it their all. Great observations but always so cost to watch. more like talking to friends than listening to a lecture.

I said for your last video for Re-Animator that it was one of bunch of horror movies I watched over a weekend while trying to get more into horror. This was actually another one of the 7 movies I got through. The characters are key to this movie's greatness, as you said the pacing is brilliant. I really enjoyed watching this, it such a refreshing aspect of storytelling to know that the Alligator was Robin Riker's character's without her knowing. A modern movie would need her to know this and she would hammer it home for the audience. There was creativity and charm in the special effects but its intent was always storytelling. My older brother recorded used to record movies off TV and it gave me access to a lot of great movies. I remember this being on the same VHS cassette as Q: The Winged Serpent. Neither movie were ones that I returned to at the time but came to appreciate later. It was thanks to my brother that I got access to movies like Aliens, Dune, Jaws, Escape from New York, Psycho and many more. Thanks guys.

The crazy thing is there are Nile Crocs that have been in captivity up to 20 feet long. No doubt there will be larger ones in the wild, so this movie is not totally ridiculous like most monster movies.
@amitypredator93852 ай бұрын
It's ridiculous because American alligators in the wild reach lengths of 15-18 feet. One that managed to survive a sewer would be much smaller. This thing is nearly twice as long as a crocodile at 36 Feet

I love this film! Absolutely love it 😅 watched it when I was about 10. Jaws was the first film to give me the creature feature buzz but this and piranha added to it. I think my last rewatch was early last year 🙂

Ahh yes the greatest movie ever made...about a 30 foot alligator loose in the sewers of Chicago starring Robert Forster...in 1980.

I first saw this back in the 80's on VHS. Having partaken of some Mary Jane beforehand (I lived a different life back then!), I laughed so much that I almost had a heart attack. In memory of Robert Forster I rewatched it recently for the first time in decades, and this movie holds up. It's still a great horror/comedy. R.I.P. Robert; you are sadly missed.

Big fan of your channel guys, love this movie, so bloody nostalgic, how underrated was Robert Forster?! Completely baffles me as to why he wasn't in more prominent films throughout the 80,'s , such a natural, human presence

I love Sydney Lassick! A very unique character actor. The first film I ever saw him in was 1992's Deep Cover as 'Gopher', a character not a million miles away from his Alligator character. Or his Cuckoo's Nest one come to think of it lol.
