Күн бұрын

The final performance spanned two dates, beginning on Oct. 28, and ending on Oct. 29, and three full sets ending with this at well past 1 a.m. in the morning of Oct. 29, with the song that they first played back in 1969, "Trouble No More" ... and the final bow taken on the anniversary of the death of the beloved Duane Allman who started the band.
May the circle forever remain .... unbroken.

@@Herehear49 Little Feat was a fantastic band in the 70's. When Lowell George died, no more Little Feat😥 Even when Duane Allman, and Randy Oaks died Gregg Allman carried the band into the 21st century. So we have to agree to disagree ✌❤🌻 RIP guys 😥 You will always be remembered thru your music and loved by those future generations that will always be lucky enough to discover The Allman Brothers Band on KZbin ❤

I first saw the Allman Bros. band in Love Valley in July 1970... I hadn't heard them before. I became an ABB fan immediately and saw them many times after that. Gregg gave me 2 backstage passes in Williamsburg, Va. and invited me and my wife to sit behind him on stage that night. To this day, I'll never duplicate that feeling. Never before & never since, no matter who, the Allman Brothers Band will remain as the band that started a new genre of music known as Southern Rock. Those were the days...

Putting the needle down for the first time on the Fillmore East album changed my life forever. I ended up picking up the guitar, studying my heart out, and eventually getting a doctorate in music. One of my biggest thrills was seeing Gregg sitting in with another band at a small club in Virginia Beach ca. '77. We sat 6-7 feet away from him and were mesmerized the whole night.

time and mortality are cruel teachers to the reality we all face, regardless of our talents. We grow to believe falsely our idols will forever be the background music of our lives... and we get used to them being there always with music and inspiration...Greg, Duane, Barry, David,, SRV, Janis, Jimi, Chuck.. the list is endless for here. The closing of the Allman Brothers Band in this video is of great historical significance for us all as well as our children. Their extended families brought messages of togetherness and kinship including all men and women through in their music for these last 40 decades. Humbled here to have witnessed the power of their southern music to unite all those that had a moment to truly listen and inhale.. many heartfelt thanks to ABB... and thanks to Lorri M for providing this video..the circle does remain unbroken.

super cool experience to see the ABB you related Lorri, that experience has to rate a very close second to births of children and weddings. The deep history of the Beacon theater plus the presence of the ABB surely had to be charged with energy of a higher level. Embarrassed here to relate this but truthing all... my only ticket to see the ABB live here in north Texas about 74' time frame did not end well. we partied thoroughly before heading out, missed the venue by several miles, ooops', into arena finally a bit late to seats...warm up act in full press and closing quickly...and... U/C police swept on our row and escorted us downstairs...BEFORE ABB ever took the stage by minutes.....I've been a die hard follower of ABB since Eat a Peach to this day. Ya'll please rock hard forever but safely...thx again Lorri. though am VERY jealous here of your experience..

So much a very special experience isn't it, peace and comfort from here to you Lorri and all here... rock on.. btw please excuse me for reference to grandchildren.. not trying to bracket your age though thinking on your appreciation for the ABB gives you calendar credit LOL. peace all

Fitting date to end the ABB. Duane was killed in the motorcycle accident on Oct. 29th, 1971. Gregg was in failing health, it was time. This date was planned, it had to have been, a nod to his brother. He said he never got over losing him... It had to have been an emotional experience for all of them. I wish Dickie Betts could have been a part of this, that's sad. Rest in peace, Gregg, Butch (so very sad that he took his own life, that had to have torn them all to pieces) and the brothers that went before them. Very emotional to watch...Thank you for the music you left behind...

I’m fortunate to have seen the reconstituted ABB(thank YOU Warren Haynes!) & also saw 13yr old Derek Trucks join them onstage at the FL state fairgrounds near Tampa on that first tour. I could not have been more elated to see the ABB firing on all cylinders after years thinking they were done. And then they went on for decades more!

So sad that Dickie Betts wasn't there. He IS part of what made their sound.

I was very lucky to have seen the Allman brothers band in concert several times in the seventies, most talented band. They didn’t have to act silly to put up a show like some bands do.

inspirations are a force of nature. Robert Johnson inspired the likes of B.B.King, Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters who in turn inspired Duane and Gregg Allman and they inspired the likes of Derek Trucks and Warren Hayes. I won't bother to say who is better or greater because they all great musicians in there own right. I hope that the ones now will inspire more great musician so that our grandkids and their grandkids can experience this kind of fantastic music that cuts to the soul and brings so much joy. Allman Brothers Band forever.

Gregg 0preferred to set his piano/keyboard off to the side of the stage because he had stage fright, he always got nervous before every show and this helped alleviate that. God I loved him

Funerals should be a celebration, end up a crying time. Remember them is all that matters. Don't hate on the ones not there, they can't take it.

Man this is hard to watch and I agree with every last person that commented about Dickey!! He should have been right in the middle of all the Brothers up there!!! It still trips me out about Butch, that's weird to me he committed suicide so late in life... It's almost as if he didn't want to live to see it end.... RIP brothers and thank you for all the music that so many people grew up on!! 🌈🍄
