@@Sinjinator Maybe or maybe not. My cousin is a lawyer. She trained at Juliard so she is an incredible singer, but she was not quite good enough to make it on Broadway or as a professional singer. So she sang at her wedding and had a friend (who is on Broadway) also sing at her wedding, but that was pretty much it for her. She went to law school, got her degree, and moved in that direction instead. Apparently you can have a very good voice yet not be good enough to be a professional singer (or at least be good enough to make a living at it). She is actually a news anchor for a local Fox News station today.

The younger generations love the way the song builds.

Open Arms was the “big hit” off that album. Don’t Stop Believin’ was indeed a mid-level hit during that time. Who’s Crying Now also dropped off the Escape album. Some songs just catch on after the fact. This song is an example of that. Journey also had a long line of singles from the mid 70s into the late 80s as well. Because of this, Dont Stop Believin’ kinda got lost in the mix and at that time, got overshadowed by Open Arms.
