I always say, having a child is not a romantic decision, it´s looking at finances, work, your own health, time and so on... it has to be a responsible decision if you can plan it!

The first story completely pisses me off. If her brother knew they needed her or anyone for that matter, he should have asked her earlier than the day of and then EXPECT her to drop everything and run. It would have been different if they had asked her days before. The problem was, the sister-in-law decided that day to go get her nails done and daddy might have had something he wanted to do. I can’t believe they EXPECTED her to immediately drop her plans but they, the PARENTS, didn’t drop their own plans. Now I’m a 47 year old woman with two kids of my own. If I wasn’t able to get a sitter for my kids, we or one of us took the kids with us. They are OUR responsibility and we CHOSE to have them. Not my family members. I never once asked them if we could have sex to get pregnant. It was our choice therefore OUR RESPONSIBILITY! Can you tell it’s pissed me off? Geesh! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 The second story, all I have to say is, think of your friendship and is a parking ticket worth the loss of this friend? Then decide the answer to the question, “should you help pay?”

Dude here, and right now I gotta speak as a domesticated heterosexual Black male. I cannot believe for the life of me that men have to be such mental eunuchs when it comes to merely cleaning things after being (kindly AND repeatedly) asked to clean and tidy up shit in the damned fucking house. I have lived by myself for over twenty years, and it was a kind of a thing with both my mother and my father to learn how to do 'manly' things (go figure...!) as well as domestic things such as cooking, dusting, washing, ironing and the like. To me, I find such work to be highly cathartic, and I wouldn't think twice of it to get on my knees and scrub the base of the toilet, around the bowl, polish everything up, manually clean the soap scum off the linoleum (it is absolutely disgusting what comes off a human body when we wash them, and that mess compiles over how many washings until an acute scum forms in the bathtub - when it gets noticed, you kick yourself for it), and I do all of it rather joyfully. Thank God I have a father who understands what domestic housekeeping means (especially for his generation of men - "Kitchen bitching is woman's work," et cetera) , and a mother who willingly taught her son how to do such, even down to sewing up clothing (though there were many times she insisted on doing that herself - mothers are delightfully strange like that). I don't see housework or being asked to help out a given problem, and it kills me when I see men holding such parochial attitudes. (NOTE - Mind you, in all fairness, there are some women who are equally as banal when it comes to housekeeping, but the reluctance of men in doing such simple things, even when asked). All right, I didn't mean to be so dominant in explaining myself but I thought someone might appreciate hearing/reading another angle on things. Thanks, everyone.

That first one. Wow. The guy cannot take care of his kids on his own for an hour or two? But you know that if it was reversed and he had a meeting or whatever, his wife could handle all 3 kids on her own.

Omg it’s the worst here in Utah it’s like you have to ask your husband to babysit. Nope not in my family they are your kids I’m with them 24/7 and work a full time job at home on top of being a mom and running the house. Get over it. You were part of having children with me you get to help! Lol good thing my husband isn’t like that nor is my dad

As an Uncle who LOVED spending time with/babysitting my niece and nephew…who sometimes did cancel plans to watch the kids at the last minute (by my choice)…I still think 100% NOT THE ASSHOLE! The brother and sister-n-law are the assholes, if the kids are so out of control that he can’t handle them for the hour or 2 (which is called parenting) then it sounds like those kids need discipline and a good butt whooping

About 9:00 usually when someone says they’re having a baby, they’re already pregnant and it’s coming so there isn’t much you can say to talk them out of it. When someone is getting a puppy, usually they don’t have it yet so they ask these questions.

I female 29 am in a heterosexual relationship with a male 30. We live together and I do about 80% of the chores. (Not complaining!) I don't have a job. I spend my days in the apartment. My only good friend is in another country... 😢 also i don't have a vehicle. So i literally don't go anywhere. Ever. 😅 But anyways uhm my bf works from 4am - 1pm ish and is usually exhausted when he gets home. I clean, cook, and do the majority of things. But the difference is we communicate and discuss what each other needs from the other one. For instance: 1.) i hate vacuuming. I just do. So twice a week on my bfs days off he vacuums the apartment. (If the apartment happens to be a little messy he cleans up before vacuuming. He isn't crazy and doesn't just vacuum around the mess...😅) 2.) We have a smaller portable washing machine that we store in the closet when not in use. It has attachments that hook up to the kitchen sink. My bf pulls it out of the closet, gets it set up, then starts a load of laundry. I hang up the clothes to air dry and then he puts the washer away. 3.) When we go grocery shopping my bf gets actually stressed and full of anxiety if he has to go anywhere other than his job. So i do the grocery shopping for the month while he sits in the car. It usually takes me about 2 hours to get everything. But because i did the shopping he will put the stuff into the car, bring everything inside the apartment, and put all the groceries away. There are so many other things, i could go on forever! 😅 it works because we communicate and their is balance. He may do more in some instances (like i have never made the bed, he just has always happened to do that every morning). Or i may do more (he has never cooked a meal in his life without almost burning down the apartment). It is all about open communication and finding the balance in your relationship. ❤

Yes the thing about getting dogs. I had a person on my husbands side ask how we could afford a dog for my daughter. I’m pretty sure you aren’t in charge of our finances and never have been. As preventing people from having children has been used as a part of ethnic cleansing, forbidding people from having children is a genocidal act. Don't ask if they should, find help for them after they do.

When I moved in with my first ever bf my mom told me I had to leave a "honey-do" list for him, instead I would just do what needed to be done and then she told me I emasculated him .... WTF if he wanted to be the man of the house there were plenty of opportunities, no one was stopping him but his own damn laziness. For any reasons the relationship ended but my mom still believes she was right.

I have that struggle with my partner in a heterosexual relationship too. I need him to recognize when chores need to be done. He’s gotten better, but he’s never had to run a household or live on his own before he moved in with me. So he’s never made the mental space for it. At least he knows what clearing and setting the table means though 😂! I couldn’t believe that guy from that post!

They decided to ride together with dude who got the tickets. He's got a license, his fault he didn't read the signs right. What if other dude was broke n the agreement was to take that ride. For all that the dude could have just taken his own ride and possibly parked legally why bc of u dont wanna pay for something follow the rules so there's no penalty to pay. I mean if a dude don't know how to clean dukie out his butt should his friend clean it for him bc they decided to go to the bathroom together. Nope.they both have a license and one automatically put trust n faith that the idiot knew what could n could not be done. Assuming that anyones motive it to find parking in a spot that's not gonna cost them more than the fun they had that night. Not a responsible driver from the get go. They both equally have a license one hand doesn't need the other for something they both can do. Or something like that. Ur the driver it's ur car. It's ur responsibility... Common curiosity and being a good friend is a person's choice. And people should not have expectations. also normalize communicating and listening to understand and response to better any situation..a simple Convo can go a looooong way and is beneficial in any situations.

The sex one sounds consensual but he can apologize and exit stage right. Lesson being sleep with people you know and trust and can ask how much they are drunk. Drinking to barely remembering is also her problem to contend with. She made moves that were inviting. He responded. She just has post drunk sex regrets and it’s on her and maybe she will learn not to get that drunk.

This is not an excuse but an explanation and I want to preface I do indeed think that the boyfriend is wrong for calling his girlfriend an AH for putting more chores, but I want to kind of just say what it's like for me because I saw some similarities. I am autistic and I NEED lists/order in my life. I need extreme detail and not vague answers so if someone told me to clear off the table I'd need them to exactly tell me how so I know exactly what to do. For this I just recommend a chore chart that already has those explanations so nobody has to always explain. The reason I bring this up is because alot of times what people deem as others being "Stupid on purpose" or "assholes" are autistic people needing genuine help. (See autism isn't just some quirky diagnosis it's an actual disability) I'm not diagnosing anyone but I am saying it always could be that OR just the fact that he is really weaponizing himself like people said but I suggest talking about your feelings instead of getting mad at someone's actions based on how you perceive them. Because remember you may perceive an action as something but that's not actually what the person was doing (That's called being toxic) /g
