I think I am starting to experience this. I will remain positive as I would love to give back from my experience as you have. It all started with an extreme amount of stress over a length of time and not doing anything to support myself. I think one of the challenges to self support which would include emotional as well as physical is believing that you deserve to do this for yourself. Great video. Very glad I saw this.

I think you are my new best KZbin friend! I have been dealing with alopecia for three years now. I have seen a dermatologist who gave me steroid injections in my scalp to help with hair growth. When I was at these appointments they would stick me 40 times in the scalp each visit with the steroids and I don't even know the name of it.I have to say that it has worked but I do from time to time find that I have patches of hair loss in various areas of my head. I never knew about this diet that you were speaking of, I guess my question would be could you send me some information about this diet? I know that you said you will link information under the video and I can't wait to check it out. I've been on KZbin searching for people dealing with alopecia videos, and I have to say that you are what I was looking for. You seem to have all the symptoms that I have and it's a stress reliever now that there is somebody out there who is going through the same thing that I am. Thank you so very much for posting this video and the rest of them because now I feel like a load has been taken off my shoulders. I just want to say that I think you are a remarkable person , and then I look forward to your other videos thank you for posting them.

+justin david wow thank you so much! I know exactly what you mean, when you're going through it you look for anyone that is going through the same thing. It helps so much to talk about it. The diet is called AIP or Auto immune paleo. If you google it there's tons of info it there and recipes & meal ideas. I'm posting a video soon on tips on surviving the AIP diet so hopefully that'll give you some ideas as well. I hope everything goes well for you!

Congratulations on all the hair regrowty! Finding your channel finally convinced me to start the AIP diet, which I've been following for almost a month and kind of love. I was actually taking ashwaghanda for stress management before this, but then learned it's a nightshade. I'm hoping to reintroduce it at some point - it is terrific!
@DeepaBerar
@DeepaBerar 7 жыл бұрын
+Daphne Grisham oh I hadn't realized it's a nightshade! Thanks for point that out :) I am having nightshades at the moment so I am ok but if you can't have it you can also look into Calm it's a magnesium powder you put into you hot water at night. Totally helps with anxiety as well!

You are so awesome, we have so much in common, I love cheese, eggs also, but sweets I just cannot be away from, but I am working on getting my hair back, whatever I am doing, my sides or edges are growing, I am really happy with the results, my alopecia is due to stress, itching and burning of the scalp, so I use cortizone 10 creme wt aloe, rosemary oil wt castor oil, apple cider vinegar when washing my hair wt shampoo, and conditioner. I am back to drinking smoothies again, best of luck to you!

I have the same problem. I dumped all my make up and bought bare minerals and physicians formula and also cleaning all lotion etc and anything I use. Have you tried that? Make up may be behind all these auto immune issues. I’m pretty sure of it frankly. I used heavy make up since age 12 and I think it’s the cause of my autoimmune issues. Haven’t done AIP yet but I’m going to. I also know my bald patches and flare ups come after MAJOR stress periods for me. You also must go to organic hair salons and use organic clean dyes, I’m looking for one at the moment. I’m done using ANY synthetic chemical stuff.

B vitamins People! they are so important especially these days when life is so stressful. they can be hard to absorb so take with food. Vit D and the Bcomplex were an issue for me and my hair thinned on the sides above my ears. More so on the side that is away from the car window [less D perhaps?]. I also used a biotin shampoo that stopped the hair fall in the shower. I really thought I was stuck this way and am thrilled that I was able to improve it.

This is exciting. I do no like the idea of eating organ meat and just meat in general but I too have large bald spots and my hair is thinning so rapidly that I have to take another approach. I want to believe that a by removing the inflammatory foods and just not eating meat will do it but after seeing your success and my significant amount of hair loss I do not think that I should waste any more time. Thank you so much for this video!!!!

+Trina Bolyar you're welcome Trina! Trust me I understand about the meat. I was a vegetarian for 20 years and only started eating meat 2 yrs before AIP so it was hard but after a while you get used to it. Good luck!

I think you would love this gal! When you click on her FB page there's a video of her and her twin sister speaking about autoimmune disease and paleo (which she was really big into). It's so good. I have a question, if the bald spot isn't completely bald and you can still feel the hairs does that mean it's growing back? I just got one a few days ago (it could have been there a while) and the spot still has hairs.. I shaved my head and it feels the same as the rest of the hair but it's definitely visible!

Hi Deepa, I started the AIP diet as soon as I came across your video a few months ago & was very strict on the diet in the first month and had started seeing progress. However as I was travelling a lot in the next month, I slacked back & slowly resumed to the diet last month. However lately I’ve noticed the condition is getting worse. I’m just wondering what’s going on. I’ve booked an appointment with a naturopath but will have to wait for 2weeks as there was no immediate appointment available.

+toni sargent ahh I know the emotional struggle all too well, shed many tears myself. At the end of the day, you are beautiful because of who you are, not how much hair you have on your head. I've met many drop dead gorgeous girls that once I spent some time with them, their personalities made them seem completely unattractive. Plus there are so many options with wigs, extensions, you could have a different look every day! I know it's not easy to hear because you just want to have a normal head of hair, but if you can accept what is happening to you and find anything to be grateful for on a daily basis, then you ultimately win in the end. As for dating I think you should be upfront and if the other person can't accept it, well then they're not the right person for you. As for your scalp, yes mine was definitely itchy & tingly and uncomfortable at times but I haven't felt that for a while now. Good luck with your journey :)
