To the Alpha M defenders repeatedly telling me 'he said it was just a joke video' etc. Of course, he's going to claim it's a joke once the content gets a backlash, and people start calling him out for what he's doing. What did you expect? To me, it didn't come across as a joke video in the slightest; just a bunch of paid lies. It's a shame it's come to this. Also, on his Tiege Hanley channel, he didn't reference it being a joke, just that he was preparing a 'controversial video' - he only talked about it being tongue-in-cheek afterwards. Open your eyes people.

@aswtx756 жыл бұрын
Hmm. Is that really true? I mean, a CFO isn't going to say buying a Rolex is a terrible investment. Part of Rolex's sales pitch is they are investment watches, so of coarse he's going to say that. They hold some value better than other watches, but to suggest you could buy a Rolex that cost, say five grand, and you will actually make money when you sell it, seems a bit much. Occasionally you might luck out and make money because you have a watch that is highly desired for whatever reason, but most of the time you're going to lose money when you factor in inflation.
@TheSalonGuy6 жыл бұрын
He gets an insane discount. A watch you buy retail at $15k has a resale value of about $20k. If you get a $15k watch for $5k, do the math. Not sure of the exact discount as he can’t disclose it fully, but long term they are a good investment.

The watch, first of all, came with the crappiest shipping available. Eventually, after 3 months, it arrived in some beautiful packaging. The hype died extremely quickly with the bezel which fell out in a week then the glass soon afterward. I was so disappointed with everything. Since then I bought a Timex Weekender, Casio, Seiko's and Tissot. I really learned my lesson from that experience and if you reading this don't fall the hype there are much better watches under $100 which you will be proud to wear. You can, but it’s just not that much of a difference if you don’t.

He doesn't even go that deep into the real in's and out's or history of clothing. His fitness advice (something I DO know a lot about) is horribly off the mark, and I've written comments on his site letting him know how messed up it is. And he's a gym owner....eesshh. I finally unsubbed from Alpha and Teachingmensfashion because it was obvious they were both making video titles based on some data driven algorithm (perhaps the same one). 7 ways women are disgusted by you, 10 ways men repel women, 8 things women love on a man over and over again from both channels. First off, I thought these were fashion channels. I got out of my pick up artist phase when I was 22. secondly like I said above, the data driven patterns in clickbait titling are obvious and the content is repetitive and empty. It's possible to use algorithms on youtube to make money without becoming a steaming pile of content farm bullshit.

It's relieving to see someone finally exposing Aaron. Back in 2016 I actually used to be a fan of Aaron. I was a teenager and I legit saw him as a fatherly figure. With his personality its easy for him to lure ignorant people into believing everything he say's. I stopped watching him when I realized companies were paying this sellout to promote their products. I got furious. The fact that he preys on the insecurities of weak individuals for financial gain is outrageous and disappointing. And the sad thing is, it's not only him. Other "Fashionista" KZbinrs are exactly the same. Sure you might be getting rich but at what expense? The expense of others? What a bunch of cowards. Jose Zuniga is exactly the same. All pieces of shit, scamming their way into wealthiness. KZbin aint the same no more.

@@et5895 But heres the difference. Say a completely different content creator; a comedian. Puts an advertisement in his/her video. Just like in TV people know that their will be advertisements in their content. So people are okay with it. Whats so unethical about Fashionistas doing it is not so much the fact that their advertising. Its the fact that the entire video will revolve around the advertisement itself making it basically one long big advertisement disguised as a "manual" on man related topics. They go so far as to making it seem like you NEED the product to be cool, handsome, loved, etc. Thats whats so bad compared to others. The intent of monetization and wealth. These You Tubers are practically releasing videos on what you should buy next. Their fanbase is practically divided into two; 50% compulsive buyers who believe you cant achieve much withought the right "products". and the other 50% who are ignorant people who dont realize their getting fooled. ( I was one of these people myself ). These people are examples to the type of greed KZbin has become. Its really sad to say the least. ):

My own observation is that the progression seems to be fashion tips (good) to list of morning routine and lifestyle tips (meh? usually useless and generic) to conversation tips (useless ones, eye contact? be confident? really?) and then the sign the end is near is when it's suddenly dozens of how to talk to women or impress women titles. This seems to be the pattern.

It's such a brazen conflict of interest, and source of inevitable dishonesty, when any channel that purports to give objective commentary on consumer products is itself funded by specific brands of those products. Ben this video came in my recommendation and man, you got yourself a sub. 1- I never was a watch guy but then got into it, mainly because of UrbanGentry, great channel. After watching it i found a new found bond towards watches (Like cars ;)) something about wearing a timepiece man, not for the attention although that's a plus but it gets very personal. When you address the issue i only can say you have strong moral and ethics intact and they will carry you well as a man. 2- Timepieces with heritage it gives us a piece of history, the story it tells and how far we have come. 3- Addressing the "Availability" i can buy a Rolex on a retail watch outlet, Rolex retail outlet, channel partner of Rolex even Omegas for that matter. Movements? never saw a dedicated retail outlet for them, nor any partners, nor any shop for that matter. 4- About the money, when you get into timepieces you start to view life as a journey, so now i can and am planning to buy a Seiko 5 sng16k1 followed by Casio Gwm5610-1. My dream watches are of course the Rolex, Omega Seamaster which i will own one day. So you see the journey aspect really changes perspective. 5- When you wear a Rolex you be extra careful about it, would you leave your keys in a 1967 Shelby gt500? or a modern Bentley? 6- Plus its not negative, its standing up for yourself. Men do that. 7- "I mean to make myself a man, and if I succeed in that, I shall succeed in everything else" - James A Garfield. Take care Ben and thank you, best regards to you and your journey.
