Comparing to the Original MIB2 or MIB2.5 system. It has no Driving Mode Integration, steering wheel control is not 100% working, no voice input, like "Enter Post Code", "Guide me Home", No internal Hard Disk, No proximity sensor, no gesture control(available in MIB2.5), no FLAC play back, no carplay, no android auto, no mirrorlink, no realtime traffic, no google, no siri, no waze, no spotify, no google music, No panels for other paterns, does not support the virtual cockpit, etc. Basicly, it is like a generic head unit with slower processor, by adding some CABUS reading the aircon and turn on/off signal and a few other signals only. Once you install, you will be facing a lot of issue, which factory can not solve, Especially for those car has TMPS, Driving Mode Selection, and other CAR functions related to the head unit. A bit disappointing product for nowaday in car infortainment system. But it might be the best aftermarket unit so far for Golf 7. Hi Alpine, I've watched a couple of videos on this device here on KZbin and the GUI seems really slow while for example sliding in the menu showed at 0:50. Is this something that has been fixed since the release of this product? For a product that costs this much I'd like it to feel smooth before I consider buying.

+1. .. Same query here. .. Will any of these European/UK market VW targeted Navi units by Alpine, Kenwwod (DNX516DABS) as example offer "like-kind" Navi units for our USA market Volkswagens? The neu'er (9/'16 released) Kenwood Navi unit available in Germany is interesting. .. An email to Kenwood USA produced no information regarding availability in USA.

I would buy one for the my U.S. car as long as it was able to display the correct FM formats for U.S. radio (odd numbers) and I could get it to display in Miles/Gallons, etc. It would also have to let me change drving modes (DCC) and work with the wiring system.

This unit is only available for the European Golf 7 model so far. We do not know what differences exist between the European and the US model in terms of wiring, data bus, etc. Therefore we can not guarantee any compatibility.

There are no differences, same wiring and same data, only difference is units km/miles and liters/gallons.

if you have pre 2015 model year vw, just get RCD330 off ebay, its cheap and provides both of those, while keeping stock looks.

Yeahh,it's 2021 so Imma stick with google maps,aside ftom the fact that it's pretty slow to me the graphics look worse than on the original navigation especially the sensor display
