I really like to hear you describing you aesthetic, what inspires your art, then watching you intuitively express it in your collages.

Hi Robyn! If you ask Seth he might have an answer about the geato ( sp) But during his workshop this week he mentioned that he preferred Marabu Crayons and they are available at Dick Blick and possibly elsewhere... I just checked Blick real quick. They are very nice and in a user friendly pen style holder. LOVE this video!!! Glad you had a nice Vaca!!

Hi Robyn, I have been binge-watching this series all day. I have watched so many of your webcasts, and am just loving them. This might be a stupid question, but when you do your “intuitive scripting”, are you writing real words? I am particularly wondering if you are fluent in Kanji since you make the marks so beautifully and so fast! My MIL was an amazing calligrapher and artist, and it has always been so intimidating to me. Thank you!

Oh my goodness Robyn!! I have just recently come across you and without sounding like a stalker (which I am not, by the way. lol), I can't get enough of your videos. A friend recently gifted me a gelli plate and I have no idea how to use it but with following along with some of your older videos, I am creating with it. I have lot's to learn but am having fun getting messy. Thank you so much for your inspiration! You are amazing. Sue. x

I know you’re super busy but I had a question about how to know if an old book is archival or even a newer book. Is there a way to know if It will last and not fall off a canvas or inside a journal. Or do I just cut it up for ephemera? Sometimes it does not matter but some people expect thing’s to last and they ask me.
@RobynMcClendon4 жыл бұрын
Nell Court Yeah I get that question a lot too. I think it’s a question people think they are supposed to ask as an in the know, kind of question. However when I ask them a few question it becomes clear that they do really have answers. So what I tell artists create your own philosophy about your artwork. How long do you want it to last? Create different categories of art so that you give yourself freedom to just create even if it only lasts a day! 🤣 That way when you get the question you can answer it for yourself and your personal philosophy and and you price the work accordingly I personally believe if a person purchases anything for under $300-400 they shouldn’t expect it to last for ever and of course high end work is archival in every way with authentication etc. the reason why I say $300-400 is because people purchase art every day from the big box stores at those prices and never ask if it’s archival and MOST of that stuff is NOT! So don’t be intimidated into worrying about that stuff enjoy yourself and create!!🥰✨🙏💫💕
