Blackpool, the first place I visited in England as a fourteen-year old from Glasgow. It were supposed to be two weeks in Blackpool with my best mate Andy and his mother, but I spent all my money on buying records (including the Yes album) so we had to come home after the first week. Another nice memory was receiving a big smile from a blonde English lass on the beach. Warmed the cockles of my wee Scottish heart! lol

Interesting video of the dark side of Blackpool Stephen. It’s an interesting area of town maybe it should be called the pride of Blackpool. My neighbours used to do swingers club as we could always hear them and see the camera flashes through the windows, people arriving in different raunchy outfits.

Dickson Road has changed loads since the 80s. We stayed in a Hotel called the Firgrove which is now Peek-a-booze lol that movie theatre does my head in what a wasted opportunity of a crackingly large art deco building its almost like they got so tired building that they gave up with the facade, even the windows are too small for its size it could have look absolutely stunning it they'd thought it through. I remember when Funny Girls was on the prom can't remember exactly where though. Come & get you benofit money & spend it on bargain booze that cracked me up 😂😂😂😂
