Just got mine from Mr RPM today. They suggested using blue Loctite on the screws. Odd there's no torque spec.
@RobFarrowATV
@RobFarrowATV Жыл бұрын
I'm assuming that because of the cold/hot operation and being aluminum the screws need the loctite.
@johns8240

@@RobFarrowATV It's actually bolted-joint science 101. Because the length of the screws and the low torque, you can't get enough stretch in them to properly hold. So you add a band aid.

Haven't seen it asked, and not much actual description of the install. For the rear cover, do you have to remove the clutches and exhaust? Or did you already have other things being worked on? I have a leak on just the rear plastic cover.
@RobFarrowATV
@RobFarrowATV 6 ай бұрын
I believe we had lot of stuff apart for others mods at the time. I remember even the exhaust pipe being off, so not sure what exactly you'd have to remove to get at the cover easier. I don't think you have to remove a lot of stuff but it is a tight spot to work in. I don't have the machine anymore so can't even go look. Sorry I couldn't be anymore help. Good luck on yours.

I heard the torq lockers are better if you do a lot of mud or skeg. They make the steering a lot stiffer so harder to steer at speed apparently. Not very good with lifts apparently but Other than that, heard good things about them. Gonna try one next year maybe! Thanks for watching Ryan!

They can't seem to find the prob. It's the third time i bring it now. I've never owned a Polaris, so can't comment on the Highlifter, seems that they have issues also. I did like my Kawasaki Brute Force 650, it had zero issues in the 8 years I had it and they do make a 750 that has a ton of power. I've seen some pretty well done up 750's. Not sure what the deal is with you're XMR, seems that some people don't have a lot of issues with them and then some people have all kinds of issues with them. I bought mine cause it was "mud ready" and I had planned to do a lot of mud. If they had made a Brute Force "mud ready" 850 I probably would've bought that. Good luck Man!
