Amanda & Felix...This was a Five Star episode! Amanda, you did a fantastic job with the video photography. The ramen was perfectly showcased and adding Frank & Tabi eats to the mix made it amazing. Frank was a joy to on have board & explain. In my book you are all experts in the ramen field. The bowl of ramen looked so tasty & delicious. Felix, you easily did an eight slurp. I counted it lol. You da man! What an episode, hats off & good stuff. Loved this one from Japan. You both have done some of your best work with the eats series in Japan.

Wow, this is a great collaboration with 5 of my favorite foodie KZbinrs with a Japan-Hawaiʻi connection! I always like videos with Frank and Shinichi because they are fully bilingual and can describe and explain things with correct pronunciation of English and Japanese, and Satoshiʻs knowledge of (and ability to read) things Japanese and his delightful descriptions of the food in Japanese make their channels comprehensible and enjoyable to people from different cultures and language backgrounds from their personal perspectives. And Amanda and Felix add their own personal perspectives and tastes from their cultural backgrounds and experiences in Hawaiʻi (and Amanda can speak Japanese), so I really enjoy everyone sharing their thoughts and experiences with food in Japan and Hawaiʻi -- Now you just have to convince Frank to visit Hawaiʻi and try out the best saimin in the islands!

This is much much better than those youtubers who recommend Ichiran ramen... Ichiran isn't trash, but it is in no way closed to being what locals will eat, to me, they are McDonald's of ramen basically, a food chain. I'm glad to have these authentic local suggestions instead.
@joesan395611 ай бұрын
Hell no! It’s all relative and depends on the type of ramen broth you’re into. If you like tonkotsu Ichiran is def top 3 in Japan. And as someone who lives in Japan, this is for locals as well.
@raymondlee483811 ай бұрын
@@joesan3956 I have to disagree. Just because you live in Japan doesn't makes you an expert in ramen. I live in LA and Mcdonald's doesn't make the best burgers, we have In n Out for that. You are free to keep eating at Ichiran, but it is no way in hell its "def top 3 in Japan", show me a well known review media that tells me Ichiran is top 3 in Japan. Locals don't go to Ichiran, the ppl that goes in are mostly tourists if you paid attention. Locals rather go to Tenkaippin if they want to go for a quick bowl of chain ramen. Remember, I never said Ichiran is trash, just not something locals will lined up for, just like Mcdonald's.

Absolutely love seeing you both collaborating with Tabieats and 5AM Ramen! I've been following you all since the pandemic, so it's nice to see you guys grow ❤ I've never tried dipping ramen and I think I prefer that than having the noodles nestled in the broth! Mahalo 🌺

Don’t be fooled, just because Ichiran is cheap and a franchise, doesn’t mean it’s still not the top 3 tonkotsu ramen in Japan. It’s my and many others #1. Don’t miss out!!
