Also the relationship with the mom was so interesting, because you know she is trying her best, but at the same time she puts a lot in Sydney's plate, and it builts up until Sydney gets annoy at every single thing her mom does the ponit it's that they were going to some very interesting topics and now we'll never know >:( damn you netflix...

There is so much nuance in syd and her mom's relationship, you can tell in some scenes they do really love eachother but they are both hurt and grieving her dad's suicide and while her mom is in pain, she inadvertently hurts sydney. At least that's what I understood. I was so upset when American Vandal got cancelled so I looked it up trying to understand what happened and that's what I found on it. I wear to god EVERY. TIME. I REALLY like a series, it gets cancelled. It got to the point a few years ago, where if it looked like a show I would like, I wouldn’t even watch it because I believed it would get cancelled. Then of course, they wouldn’t, and they were on tv so I couldn’t catch up. Now I decide to give a series a go again and this happens. The universe is playing a cruel joke on me 😭 Edit: Saw you play a clip of Everyday Sucks after I posted this, yet another show I liked that got cancelled hahaha. And this one was SO much better. i can relate SO much it’s just sad. the same thing happened with anne with an e (it’s really good, i can totally recommend it, it’s off to slow start, but it keeps getting better and better) and it still makes me a bit upset. it just seems so cursed that every show i like (which often includes well-written lgbtq characters) gets freaking cancelled while trash like riverdale is still running (i know it’s not a netflix original, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s utter crap). at this point i don’t even want to get attached to good shows anymore. :(

Man, I love it when Netflix decides to cancel all of the best shows. But like, seriously, Netflix kind of sucks. Not only are they cancelling good shows and allowing Cuties to stay on there, but, I mean, seriously, what's up with them only having, like, later seasons of shows rather than having them from episode 1? I can't start watching a show from season 4 onward, Netflix.

It was actually really refreshing take on a coming of age story and I was so relieved it wasn't another Riverdale type show. I related a lot to Sydney battling with her sexuality and her emotions and I think something like this would have at the least helped get through the motions when I was an angsty teen.
