Can I just say, thank you very much for this video! This is 1 of only 2 videos I have seen which explains in detail exactly what to do for beginners and gives variation incase it doesn't work. The other video being Matt Hayes how to float fish, which got me into fishing. However I found when I went out I still didn't have a clue what I was doing lol I want to get back out there this year and try again so looked for the Matt Hayes video, however, it seems to have a copyright claim! Thankfully, I have found your video, and I truly believe I have a lot better understanding from this than I did from Matt Hayes so thank you. I'll be out again soon now

all good sound advice. Would add the small rubber float stops you slide up the line are a great addition allowing float depth to be changed without the need to move shot too much. one or two either side of float can hold it in place. I put shot below float so float can easily be slid up the line to increased depth. Self loading floats also good as they reduce number of shot you need to pinch on the line .

This is spot on - the content concentrating on the method rather than a quick description followed by match tactics and feeding . I.E - exactly what us leisure anglers need . Your tips and clear explanations inspired me to have another go at waggler fishing . I was rubbish , but at least I knew why . I caught fish though and learnt about the lake . I had problems with fixing the shot , and changing the shotting pattern - a 13' rod is too long for the place and I have to side cast , I just got a 10' float rod , and will try loaded waggler next time as I saw this video . Maybe you could do a video on shot ? as there is the non toxic stuff , double cut , "stotz" , I found the small sizes impossible to put on the line . I also began to get the hang of feathering the line down at the end of the session - and hooray - sank the line . Your video got me started on float fishing again , liked and subbed , many thanks .

I use non-toxic double cut shots from a No.6 and bigger, lead shots for anything smaller. I like the idea of a film on shots, I will give it some thought. Thanks for your comment, best of luck with your fishing. Please see: www.amateurangling.com/best-split-shot-for-float-fishing/
