Yup, that sarnie is comfort food at its best. When I was an apprentice electrician ( 1974) I was sent to get all the guys breakfasts. We had half a Greggs stotties (very large bap a good 1ft across in those days) filled with Sausage, egg, tinned tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms and baked beans. Yes it could get messy eating one but they were lovely.

Try using round pastry cutters like for cookies to pop your eggs in and that will help keep in place. I agree - bacon egg and sausage butties are the best morning comfort food.

Tip for cold butter: If you have a very small sieve (I use a 2 inch one like you'd use to drain a teabag) and drag it across the top of the butter it produces loads of little strings of butter that are easier to spread. Also beats pulling a hole in the bread trying to spread cold butter.

Love that sandwich. I'd have Cumberland sausage, toasted wholemeal, and replace brown sauce with a drizzle of maple syrup on the bacon, and some chili sauce, but each to their own. It's the sort of sandwich to have after a heavy night out.

When cooking your eggs have you tried putting a saucepan lid on top whilst they are cooking, the steam created whilst they are cooking helps cooks them quicker, especially if you like the yolks slightly hard. Great video by the way, thanks for sharing.

I do the same with my sausages - cut in half. One trick I have not tried yet but saw it elsewhere is if you have cold butter squeeze it through a garlic press and it then becomes spreadable - need to try it soon i think which would avoid having to put the butter in the microwave

Careful cutting your sausage in the pan as you could damage the coating and it will start to stick . Take them out and cut them on a chopping board . No metal in non stick pans . Love your videos . I only buy dripping coated chips since you showed me them ,absolutely love them .

Those eggs were how i like them. For a vid, you should get a part cooked bagette, bacon, cherry tomatoes and mature chedder. Cook the bacon, half cook the bagette, slice the bagette to open it up, stuff with the cooked bacon, sliced cherry tomatoes and grated cheese, then finish in the airfryer to melt the cheese. Then eat...

I prefer hard eggs for a butty but runny for steak, gammon or fry up, runny eggs on a butty drips then it’s a waste of yolk.
