The best review on the Amazfit Bip, ever. This is the only review on youtube that actually involves DATA, which is odd as the Bip is basically a device that records and tracks DATA. Like, how the hell did every other reviewer completely overlook the point of this device?

I bought an Amazfit Bip after watching this review twice and making notes. I'm MEGA happy with it! Two and a half weeks and I haven't had to charge it yet. Tracked about 10 different workouts and syncs to Strava on iPhone via AmazTools or to android phone via Notify and Fitness.

You did a helluva lotta *comparative analyses!* 👍 _I'm using _*_AMAZFIT BIP_*_ for 3 months now with HR Monitor always on. I could confirm your observations (particularly its GPS/GLONASS)._ Years before I have been using *Xiaomi Mi Band 1s* and *Mi Band 2.0.* Both have been darn good. BTW, all these devices are rated *IP68* and have taken my *BIP* swimming (not in the pool but at some tropical beach - here in Philippines); albeit only at depths of around 3-5 meters.

Nice review. I own the Amazfit Bip and think it’s great value for money. The Heart rate monitor is definitely inaccurate- specially for high intensity exercise but that doesn’t bother me at all. I love the fact that the screen’s always on and the battery life is amazing! Looking forward to your review on the Strato...

Yes he monitor is wrong, so the calories count, sleep track, resting heart rate, all goes wrong. I tested two watch

Right it is a bit inaccurate at sleep and heart rate tracking. You will find its OK. I had a fitbit that does it better but charging everyday is hard now the sensor won't connect to charger. I like the look and feel of the xiaomi. I like the text notification thing. Overall I think it is a good deal but some inaccurate readings you say kids would really like it and I reckon it is cheap enough and good to have a young person try it. Although my daughter has a 20 dollar bracelet tracker does all mine does and tracks sleep better.

Very accurate testing, thank you. Was wondering about accuracy of GPS and Heartrate. In the end, I'm not sure if I choose an FitBit Versa or Amazfit BIP, cause the versa seems to have strong heartrate monitor but no gps. Sad for fitbit, with GPS the decision was clear - atm i tend to the BIP, cause of fairer pricing.

What would the right spot on the wrist be for a good HR reading? Is it to be a little on the tight side and higher up on the forearm (away from wrist)?

Nik Arfan I really like it and for the price it gives you a lot of features. It depends what you're looking for. If battery life is important to you, then the Bip will make you happy. You won't have to charge it often. I'd like to see some more activities included but maybe we'll get that with future updates. It's a good watch for what it does. The GPS did great in open areas. The heart rate sensor did a real good job most of the time.

Really nice review thanks. Is it possible to change the data fields? I am wondering if it's possible to swap out the mi/h reading to pace (time per mile). This is a very popular running metric.

Walking activity will show speed and Outdoor running will show pace. Data fields are not changeable.

I will get back to you on this. Right now the Bip is getting a new firmware update. I'm waiting to see what changes it includes. But I do like how it measures your heart rate continuously during workouts with the colorized HR zones.
